I'm still using my original DME OBDII with modified code. I put 15psi of boost and a nasty code on the DME at 150,000 miles and had not problems for 33,000 miles. Retired that engine at 173,000. Where did you purchase your dinan chip from? b/c that sounds pretty legit now so I might go through with it once I price a few things but hit me up with a link when you can.

you can get a dinan reflash at a local dealer that is contracted with Dinan still. $300 + 1.5 hrs of labor (which i think is bull) __________________

Thanks guys for all your input. | Fortunately, When I purchased my ti it was already installed, with a Dinan CAI and freeflow exhuast. I got lucky. As far as I know you must purchase the chip from a dealer and have them reprogram your ECM with the specialized software as stated on the site. I have seen "Dinan" chips and others on craigslist for around $100. you might have success there. If you go that route it might be wise to have a local bavarian autoshop install the chip. Any shop will prob charge a bit for labor.(its a given) If you have the money and want to do it, I dont think you would be disappointed. Please let us know how it turns out! __________________
