Default audio question

i got an M package with speeker into: kick pannel, 2 in door, 2 6*9 and 2 little tweeters on each side in the back of my ride.

i need to get the size of the kick pannel one... + the size of those who are into my door, and those 2 tweeter into the back of the car. any one know that??

and... considering that all my speeker are OEM i think i got a special audio kit (optional at bmw) so i think i have an amplifier into my car that come OEM am I right? if yes, does anyone know where i can find out the spec of this OEM amp? and does anyone know too where i can get another OEM amp more powerfull then the one that i have now? and do you know where , visualy, i can see this OEM amp?

and last question is, if i dont upgrade my amp ill keep the original one, if so, may i just cut the wire of the oem speeker and just plug my new one with those wire? or ill need to remove the old wiring and forget the idea to plug my afthermarket speeker into the OEM bmw amp?

tanx for your help and sorry about all those typo i speek french so my english is kinda bad :S

really appreciate your help, and this forum is very helpfull for me. tanx to you guy again.

I saw some on eBay last night. look for e36 oem. Good keywords when you are looking for something on there. I saw like 3 amps. If you wanted more powerful oem maybe search for a newer model. Hope that helps a little. As far as the speakers, I don't know.

as far as i'm concerned, the OEM amp and speakers are NOT the weakest link in the audio system. I believe that the Head Unit is the worst part of the whole system. That is the first thing i would replace in THESE cars!

My amp was located in the "boot" on the drivers side, behind the carpet cover that hides the inner wheel well. It is easy to get to.... just unscrew the plastic cover to the tail lights, like you were going to replace a taillight bulb. Once that is removed a little tugging on the carpet cover and it will come loose, and the amp is TOUGH to miss!!!

I left my amp in place, just cut all the wires to it, wired the new system
COMPLETELY seperatly, didnt use a single inch of original wiring.
If you have the time, knowledge, and money, thats the way to go.
I run 200W to my speakers, and about 1200W to my subs.

Firstly sorry about the picture quality, I took the picture quicky this afternoon after finally managing to remove the cd changer cradle and preparing for sound deadning.

This is the oem amp, mounted neatly out of sight:

I believe it runs on high level inputs, as I cant see any rca's or likewise running to it.

Here is another picture of the amp, with the cradle, removed from the car. As you can see its a Loewe amp, but I cant find any details of power output as of yet.
