If that is true then the car is too low and the roll centers on the car are screw up to the point that the car will roll and actually handle worse. Car definately look good though. I remember when I first got my coil-overs. It was night and day. | | | 11-10-2006, 09:23 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: PA Posts: 1,906 | You just gave a new meaning to slammed. I thought the race springs are low...haha I've been thinking about buying some PSS9 coilovers vs. the H&R Looks great and I bet she can take on some curves.... Keep it up!! __________________ | | | 11-10-2006, 09:28 PM | #5 | doesn't care about you. Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Denver, CO Posts: 3,925 | Can you measure from the ground to the front and back of the side skirts? I'm thinking about upgrading to that kit this spring. Also, what was included with the kit and how much $? Thanks! __________________ '99 Dinan M3 | | | 11-10-2006, 09:31 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: Vancouver, B.C. I'm still playing around with the ride height setting; I’ll be raising it up a bit most likely. For the photos i thought it would look good slammed. __________________ | | | 11-10-2006, 09:35 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: 43609 Posts: 3,425 | Looks great....what size are your Evo's? __________________ 1995 Hellrot Clubsport 318ti -Gone 1996 Schwartz II Sport 357ti - 5.7L V8 LS1/6 1997 Moregrun Metallic 318ti - Gone 1998 Schwartz II sport 318ti - M50TUB25/5 | | | 11-10-2006, 10:00 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: Vancouver, B.C. The big advantage of the PSS9's is of course the adjustable dampening. The H&R's have slightly more adjustability in ride height but no dampening adjustment whatsoever, so be prepared for a VERY rough ride. I'm not kidding, there are bumps in roads that I swore didn’t have any bumps in them before! How are the OZ Mito's working out for you? Have you decided on a way to get them to fit? Thanks! | The front part of the side skirt (right behind the front wheel, also the lowest part of my car at the moment) sits at 4.5 inches of ground clearance with the coilovers adjusted to the lowest setting. I'll get back to you on the measurement of the back skirt; my car is at the shop getting an e30 325 3.73lsd installed at the moment. I purchased the kit from Understeer for $1,100. That was the best price I could find anywhere. Here is the link: http://www.understeer.com/onlinestore-suspension.shtml The kit included pretty much everything you need, the only thing I replaced which was not included in the kit were all 4 shock mounts. I also replaced the top washers that sit between the front shock tower and the shock mounts. I took my time, so the install took me about 5 hours, you could do it in 3 to 4 though. __________________ | | | 11-10-2006, 10:01 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: Vancouver, B.C. I paid $50 for those. | | | 11-11-2006, 03:17 AM | #13 | Member Join Date: Nov 2005 Location: Shediac, N.B. Canada Posts: 96 | Looks simply amazing..... I might sell them, I just need to do some research to come up with a price first. I will keep you informed. I hope this answers your question, Dusten. __________________ | | | 11-14-2006, 11:00 AM | #15 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: Boston, MA Posts: 1,152 | Looking good with the new set up! Any rubbing issues? The drop makes your wheels look much bigger than 18's. | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
