Default Hello from down under

Hi, I have been lurking for a little while as I have been trying to get up to date on BMW's, I had an E30 years ago and now I have invested in a 1994 318is.

I purchased it at a good price the motor and drive train are perfect and I mean perfect, no rattles or whines and it goes fairly hard for a 1.8 a little better than the E30 I had, it has a few niggles but nothing unusual going from what I have gleaned from here, control arm bushes and rear shock mounts require replacement, I have already fixed the broken window clips ( bastard of a job ) and re glued the the door liners, anyway that is enough for now, I hope to be able to make a contribution to this forum in due time, for now it is great to be back behind the the wheel of a BMW

Nah. We welcome everyone.
But we are partial to hatchbacks.
The forgotten step-child of BMW.

it's alright, a lot of guys with 318 coupes, sedans, convertibles and 4-cyl. Z3's are members here since we apparently understand the engines better

Welcome! I know what you mean about the window, I had to fix mine about a week ago. I didn't use gloves and my hands were covered in that grey-paste-like grease.
