I had Dunlops SP Sport 8000's but they seemed to wear super quick. __________________ Joe, In San Luis Obispo E30-> '96 TI sport -> E30 -> '96 TI | | | 06-26-2005, 06:56 PM | #17 | Junior Member Join Date: Jun 2005 Location: Tacoma WA USA Posts: 13 | Dunlop SP Sport 5000 Asymetrical 205/60/15. These have been really great all season tires and have impressive traction wet or dry but are marginal to bad in the snow. I would definitely buy them again. __________________ John L Rice 1997 318TiA Black | | | 06-27-2005, 12:02 AM | #18 | Junior Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: Atlanta, GA Posts: 9 | Kumho ECSTA Supra 712 tires mounted on Borbet Type E 16x7.5 wheels. And 60 is the height of the tire itself from the wheel to the edge expressed as a percentage of the width. __________________ BostonGreen 97' w/ DASC & Technique Stage 1 software M3 front bumper. They handled well, although I found the road noise higher than others performance tyres. I now use Toyo Proxes (forgot the model #) since last summer. Haven't really used them enough to know what I think of them (plus I think I am in need of a good balancing - or something else is wrong ). In the winter, I use Nokian HAKKAPELIITTA Q. Very excellent handling in the snow and ice (only once did I really get stuck) and they run well at highway speeds too (although still find they feel like jello compare to the summers . Cheers, Paul. | | | 06-27-2005, 02:12 PM | #25 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2004 Location: North Saint Paul, MN Posts: 606 | Dunlop FM901's 225/45/18 __________________ '96 Alaska Blue ti w/ Supersprint cat-back exhaust...Dinan CAI & Chip...Eibach Pro-Kit Springs...Bilstein Sport shocks...BavAuto camber kit...Brembo d/s rotors...UUC SSK...Centerforce Dual Friction clutch...TMS 9lb flywheel...18 inch OZ Rims...Carbon-Fiber dash/gauge bezel...Momo Shift Knob...Indiglo gauges...Schroth Harness...ZKW's/ProLumen 6k HID...Predator Chromiums http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y15...urowerksig.jpg | | | 06-27-2005, 03:18 PM | #26 | TRETEN IRGENDEINES ESELS Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Rhode Island Posts: 3,687 | I have Dunlop Sport A2's (205 60/15)on my second set of them, they are all season tires and are great. __________________ 98 Avus Blue 318 ti Active clear outs all around, stealth turning signals, blue led interior lights, 35% tinted windows,K&N air filter, 12" Kenwood Sub, MTX Thunder Amp,Alpine cd changer, Leatherz Armrest,ACS Pedals/Handbrake/FloorMats & Vitesse Tuning Carbon Fiber B-Pillars/CF Spark Plug Cover, New 16" MSW Typer 14 Rims on Goodyear Triple Treds www.myspace.com/avusblueti | | | 06-27-2005, 04:09 PM | #27 | Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: SoCal Posts: 61 | Kumho's...but I use it for regular commuting. I also have the Goodyear Eagle F1's, 205 55ZR 16's. Great tires even when cruising at 80 mph or above. __________________ '96 Active, Boston Green Future mods:Front lipspoiler, cold air intake by Otto Racing, Hartge Rear Wing spoiler, Smoke Grey Birdseye maple wood trim kit. | | | 06-27-2005, 05:26 PM | #29 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Saint Paul, MN Posts: 3,244 | Bridgestone Potenza RE750's. Much like their S0-3's but more durable. Fantastic in the wet too. I had a discount card from a friend at Bridgestone in Akron. __________________ My Former Rides 1999 318ti Alpine White, Cali Roof, Dinan goodies 1996 318ti Hellrot California Edition | | | 06-27-2005, 08:53 PM | #30 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2004 Location: North Saint Paul, MN Posts: 606 | Quote: Originally Posted by motorwerk Kumho's...but I use it for regular commuting. I had long commutes and they wore really well, imo. __________________ '96 Alaska Blue ti w/ Supersprint cat-back exhaust...Dinan CAI & Chip...Eibach Pro-Kit Springs...Bilstein Sport shocks...BavAuto camber kit...Brembo d/s rotors...UUC SSK...Centerforce Dual Friction clutch...TMS 9lb flywheel...18 inch OZ Rims...Carbon-Fiber dash/gauge bezel...Momo Shift Knob...Indiglo gauges...Schroth Harness...ZKW's/ProLumen 6k HID...Predator Chromiums http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y15...urowerksig.jpg | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
