as much as I have to admit that the craftsmanship is unbelievably good, I can't help but wonder why anyone would even bother with that. sure it looks like a fast car but what's the point when 0-60 time is slower than a bone stock 318ti, not even taking into account the added weight of the body

But really, if you think about it, $8,900 isn't a bad price. I don't have any data, but I'm guessing a 2002 Cougar and the Bugatti probably have similar horsepower numbers.

The description says it's "reliable" and "easy to work on and cost 'affordable'" Yeah. You can't trust those things as far as you can throw them, the engine has absolutely no space to work on, and parts are not cheap, the common things that go out on those range about $200-$800. And $89,000? There are some pretty fast Porsche's out there for that much. I have to be honest though, that is some pretty awesome ingenuity.

No joke. All I'm saying is I don't think $8900 is a bad price for that car and I figure a 10 year-old Cougar probably is down to about 110+bhp vs. 1100+bhp for a Bugatti Veyron Super Sport. Remove the last digit and 1100 becomes 110 ... similar.
