She runs great but I have had to fork out a fair bit of money over the time I have had her, new prop shaft bearing, new spark plug wiring, steering ball joint, bushes etc etc. I think the previous owners weren't so good at getting her serviced. Will probably need some work done on the clutch and a new exhaust within the next year... | | | 12-23-2010, 11:03 AM | #107 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Miami, Florida Posts: 483 | My original m44 had 132K and ran like a champ. I currently have an s52 after my swap and it has 104K original miles and reading the same on the odometer, still just a teenager with lots of life left. __________________ | | | 12-24-2010, 12:13 AM | #108 | Junior Member Join Date: Dec 2010 Location: monmouth, maine usa Posts: 2 | my 96 has 265k still goes great!! | | | 01-17-2011, 10:18 AM | #109 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2010 Location: Ottawa, ON Posts: 108 | Quote: Originally Posted by 6speed ti 277,200 and still climbing . | we're talking miles right? | | | 01-17-2011, 12:11 PM | #110 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2010 Location: Fiji Posts: 169 | Mine works with KM guess cant join | | | 01-17-2011, 04:03 PM | #111 | Member Join Date: Feb 2010 Location: pa Posts: 45 | 233*** and still going Update- 234*** just replaced ORIGINAL FACTORY alternater, belts, ang coolant lines Last edited by huckaboo; 02-09-2011 at 11:33 PM. | | | 02-09-2011, 03:35 PM | #112 | Junior Member Join Date: Jul 2005 Location: Virginia Posts: 11 | I rolled over 185,000 on my 97 Ti this week. still averaging 31 mpg. | | | 02-13-2011, 07:27 AM | #113 | Junior Member Join Date: Jan 2011 Location: California Posts: 3 | my baby hit 111,111 miles on 1/1/2011 | | | 02-13-2011, 11:13 AM | #114 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2010 Location: Ottawa, ON Posts: 108 | what common problems should we expect after 100k? | | | 08-15-2011, 04:34 AM | #115 | Member Join Date: Jan 2010 Location: usa Posts: 80 | 300,000 MILES!!!! Well folks I ticked over the 300,000 mile mark today on my way to work. I took photos and posted a quick video on Youtube. Enjoy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bh6rr3_VdOU | | | 08-15-2011, 08:07 PM | #116 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2010 Location: Southwest England Posts: 379 | just rolled past 136k miles, that's a shade under 12k trouble free miles in a year. | | | 08-17-2011, 02:05 AM | #117 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2010 Location: Wichita Falls, Texas Posts: 1,364 | Bought my 98 moreagrun Base model with 100K and change on the clock just before Christmas last year. Went over 110K this month on a trip to the mountains in New Mexico near Taos. New tires made a huge difference in the road feel, and I swear that the engine idles and accelerates more smoothly since I changed to synthetic oil. I was told by a mechanic that I trust that changing to synthetic oil does not cause engines to start leaking oil. So far that's true in my case. I couldn't be happier with the car. In many ways, it's more fun to drive than my Z3 which has become something of a garage queen. I've done all the usual preventative maintenance. Next up is a set of Bilstein HD's. Does anyone have this shock on a Base model. If you do, thanks in advance for any feedback. | | | 08-17-2011, 02:10 AM | #118 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2011 Location: Philly Posts: 605 | count me in. 114k | | | 10-26-2011, 05:21 PM | #119 | Member Join Date: May 2008 Location: Huntsville, AL Posts: 42 | Heidi hit 188,888 today.
