I bought a 95 318ti and I was curious if it came stock with keyless entry? The guy didn't give me a key fob or anything so I wasn't sure if mine came with it or not. I think it's the base model. The key he gave me was the one with the light on it but I was just wondering if I could buy a key like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/UNCUT...ayphotohosting | | | 12-05-2007, 01:17 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | i dont think those keys work. if they do i would like one. but you can see if you have an alarm by looking under the hood and the passenger side should have a alarm siren horn thingy in front of the fender. hopefully that makes sense. __________________ -Josh Sold-1995 318ti, Club Sport, Hellrot Sold-1996 318ti, Active Model, Boston Green Current- 1995 318ti, sport model, schwartz | | | 12-05-2007, 02:17 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Nashville, TN Posts: 699 | it's not the alarm I car about...well it would be nice....but more of the keyless entry. I do know it has the actuators in the doors so that when I lock them, everything locks. | | | 12-05-2007, 02:22 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2004 Location: Northern Michigan Posts: 867 | hey im wondering if I have it too on my m42. I can lock my doors with the windows down, hold the key to right and the windows roll up. Pretty cool... I do know that the 3 button fob is good on the m42 to August of 95 and the 2 button is september up. I dont think that ebay key will work.... __________________ [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] | | | 12-05-2007, 07:36 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | have mallard decode your vin, he'll tell you | | | 12-05-2007, 07:38 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | __________________ -Josh Sold-1995 318ti, Club Sport, Hellrot Sold-1996 318ti, Active Model, Boston Green Current- 1995 318ti, sport model, schwartz | | | 12-05-2007, 08:20 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Nashville, TN Posts: 699 | I'll get to it when I get done with class, but thanks for the help! | | | 12-05-2007, 10:34 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2007 Location: Erie Pa Posts: 161 | You know, I have often wondered the same thing, I too have a 95ti and there is no lock/unlock button inside the car, nor do i have a key fob. The only way i lock the doors is outside the car when i put my key in the door and turn it. let me know what you find out. Thanks! | | | 12-05-2007, 10:40 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | Quote: Originally Posted by thekid.
