I can't get a response from D/A on this, I'm wanting to replace the idler pulleys with with either the standard kit pulleys or something a bit more robust. Any links, part #'s that anyone can point me to?

Mine were great 30,000 with no issues. Maybe you had them installed wrong or they had debres getting in them...There is a washer that needs to be behind them or they will fail quick.

I also ordered the 2 "red" pulleys from Jim at DA... for spare's, but I'd also like to find some more robust pulleys as well. Maybe something that's not made of composite?

I've had the same problems with my Z3 with the pulley squeaking soon after installing them. The problem is a combination of poor bearing used by Fennel Drive and the pulley spinning a bit too fast... IIRC given the ratio about 5500RPM the pulley spins above the limit for the bearing (15K RPM): the room constraint I guess didn't allow Downing to go with a slightly bigger idler (like the one BMW used for the tensioner). Fennel Drive used some ****ty a$$ bearings: the seal fails quickly and allow dirt to enter the bearing and damages the race. Eventually it will seize... The bearing in the idler is a standard size (6203-2RSR) and the idler can be easily disassembled. Unfortunately as you push out the bearing the housing deforms and the new bearing won't sit tight anymore.   At one point I've almost had a local machine shop manufacturing a idler out of a block of aluminum to make it serviceable with quality SKF or FAG bearing and be able to go a tad bigger on the idler to slow it down. Nice, I just saw your drawings. What bearing specifically do you recommend? I might be able to source out a machinist for this.
Also is the roller diameter (64mm) in the drawing same as stock? or is this your bigger one?

Yes yours are just what I'm looking for but your guy won't contact me! So I'm probably going to have some fabed up locally. Would be nice if I could have a few sets made if there are interested parties interested in paying a little more to have serviceable pulleys that will last longer. You replace the bearing instead of the same cheap pulley!
