Seems like low milage though for replacing an engine. Is it a swap with an original M42/M44, or an upgrade to a 6 cyl. ? | | | 04-02-2005, 07:49 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2004 Location: Delafield, WI Posts: 471 | If it is an original engine swap, it might be due to abuse/poor maintenance, and you could probably expect the same for the rest of the car. | | | 04-02-2005, 07:54 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2004 Location: Delafield, WI Posts: 471 | Quote: Originally Posted by kenzielovesbmw i know you're reading this! respond! | I don't like orders, especially on my day off. I know that it was due to a crack in the cooling system or something (i dont know about all that tchnical jargon... YET) so it was due to abuse, but i figure if its been replaced, its all good now? __________________ 1998 BMW avus blue 318ti :weirdfac: | | | 04-02-2005, 09:06 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2004 Location: Delafield, WI Posts: 471 | No problem, hope it turns out to be a nice car for you. Anyone can get a coolant leak and mess up an engine. The 30K on the replacement is good, that's almost a new engine. | | | 04-02-2005, 09:35 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2004 Location: cali Posts: 338 | if its cheap buy it __________________ Clean E36 | | | 04-03-2005, 02:44 AM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Saint Paul, MN Posts: 3,244 | Quote: Originally Posted by kenzielovesbmw i know you're reading this! respond! | mmmmmm....sassy. Hope you're a chick. I would check it out carefully, but 130K on the chassis is no spring chicken. Go for lower miles unless it's decked out and CHEAP! __________________ My Former Rides 1999 318ti Alpine White, Cali Roof, Dinan goodies 1996 318ti Hellrot California Edition | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
