Default 1998 318ti sport 5 speed, Houston

Thinking of selling my 1998 TI. I'm looking at an 09 TDI sport wagon and the old hatch back has to go.

A/C blows cold
Engine runs smoothly
108,000
5 speed
m sport package.
cloth insert seats
10 speaker sound (rear woofers are dead) 10 year old mini disk player also acting up but the old casette player is around here somewhere.
I've recently replaced all 4 rotors and pads.
new bilstein sport suspension.
drivers door locking mech has been replaced
new rear tires
recent alignment as the fronts are wearing on the outside.

one small accident 10 years ago, neither the bumper or fenders were touched but the hood was bent and radiator/support were replaced.

I purchased the car in 99 from a dealer. Car had 13,000 on it at the time and was a dealer demo. I've checked and changed oil regularly.

It is showing its age though.
The heater doesn't work but I suspect it is just a linkage problem.
headliner is falling down
exterior plastic around the windshield is cracking and falling off.
fog lights are cracked.
various scratches from supermarkets, one large scratch on left side skirt. a small rust spot on the new hood, no rust showing through.

I'll post more when I remember and some pics tomorrow evening.

Let me know what it's worth and if you are interested.

How to the Bilstein sports feel in comparison to the OEM shocks? Thanks in advance for a reply.

Does this have the premium sound system w/ the factory subwoofer? If so, hope it isn't the sub that's dead...

Post some pics if you get a chance!

They feel pretty firm. but no more so than stock. the sound system is a 10 speaker setup. I don't believe there is a sub. just the rear woofers are shot. I turned them off ages ago and haven't noticed or even thought about it till I posted this

I don't think that any ti has a factory sub.

The woofers that are blown are the #10 in that picture. 4 inch woofers. I didn't miss them.

Is this car still available?

Even though you are right about the car showing its age, it's in pretty fair condition regardless.

I have a friend in Houston who might be able to check the car out on my behalf. (I live in Austin, TX)

it is available still but i'm not confident I will sell just yet. I'm hopefully going to have time tomorrow to go by and see about a loan for a new car. If the rate and payments are right I'll go forward with a sale.

I'll keep you updated and welcome your remarks and comments on price and condition.

^ seriously, this guy is showing up everywhere! Desperate, are we?

O.P. says he's looking for a TDI sportwagen, so I don't think he'll trade for an e34. I saw the pics you posted earlier, though, I may PM you about it...

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

To the O.P. -- What's your asking price? (assuming you go through with selling it).
