Default How to test coil pack on M42 ('95 ti)

I'm trying to diagnose a rough-idle (possible mis-fire) issue, so just for the hell of it I thought I'd check the coil pack connectors for the proper resistance. But how do I do that? I looked in Bentley, and it's completely worthless..

The connection on mine looks nothing at all like the top one. It looks sort of like the bottom one, but there is no pin 1, so the rest of the instructions make no sense.
