If the needle doesn't go down to 0, then it means that the needle itself is stuck. | | | 08-25-2013, 04:39 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: norcal - 94590 Posts: 3,186 | Sometimes the overlay on the face of the cluster can de-laminate and start to separate, causing the needle base to drag or get stuck. If it goes all the way back to 0 when the key is off, then it's either a bad gauge or bad sending unit... __________________ James 95 active w/leather interior and sport interior conversion, Vaders, full M-Tech exterior conversion. That should show you if the gauge is dragging or sticking. | | | 08-25-2013, 10:12 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2010 Location: Riverside ,So-Cal Posts: 725 | Quote: Originally Posted by wake74 I would put the cluster into self-test mode which will spin all the gauges simultaneously from the min to max settings.
