Question Rack and pinion rebuild?
HI
my ti has a slow powersteering leak.
Ive seen several seal kits and have the time to rebuild mine. does anyone no of any DIY for this?

it also needs a ball joint replacement, know of any DIY?

i think my dad is gonna be replacing the steering rack on my ti soon, if he does it himself i can have him record what he did, if that helps at all

Is it the rack unit itself leaking, or is it just a bad hose? Nine times out of ten, it's a bad hose.

rackdoctor.net has a pretty good reputation for quality rebuilt racks. I feel like I have seen a DIY on replacing the seals but it was not on this site. Perhaps it was on bimmerforums. Swapping steering racks is really easy.
