Default Smiles for miles

Hello everybody!

My girl and I are huge BMW fans! I have been the proud owner of an e36 M3 sedan for about 12 years now and it has become a daunting task as I pulled the motor to complete a refresh and swap in a six speed transmission. To help reignite our fun with cars we decided to pick up a new zippy toy! We came across a clean 318ti which just needed a little tlc, so the fun begins! Since we have a decent inventory of parts from the M3, this should be a fun and cost effective car for us to have fun with, let me know what you think! We are excited with smiles for miles to be back in a fun car!

Right after we brought it home and prepped for emissions with the stock rear wheels, looks so mean :/

In its new home and waiting for some tlc!

First things first, New wheels as I had some clean contours laying around.

Next will be some interior upgrades, a full detail and suspension!

Starting to get some new pieces to get the car where we want it!

Interior as we bought it. Pretty clean, but needed some changes.

And here is the start to the changes.

Plus they are pussy approved!

Slowly getting it where we want it!!

Thanks! It's getting there!

I just swapped the mirrors. The second owner replaced the OEM side mirrors for these...

They weren't my style, so I went for something different.. I love the fit and they actually offer good vision!

But now my square 17x7.5 Contours are drawing my eye and not in a good way, so I picked up a super clean set of staggered Contours to help the stance!

I hope I'm not annoying anyone with my slow progress posts, I'm just excited and thought others might enjoy it, I like to think I have decent taste when it comes to bimmers. But you can tell me, I'm always open to feedback.

Here are the pictures with the new contours, staggered look right!

Let me know if you need any interior pieces- I pretty much have an entire sandgrau interior sitting in my garage (minus front seats and a few random pieces).

Looks like you're definitely having a good time- keep the pictures coming!

Well howdy, neighbor! I haven't seen another 'ti in Colorado for a year now, although the dealership tells me they're out there.

Thanks Zoner for the offer, I can't think of anything I need at the moment, my A-pillars are sagging, but I think we will re-warp them with something unique, maybe... My girl still isn't buying it though, lol. If anyone is interested in my front seats, we could sell a complete interior! Haha

And Paul, I'm a huge e36 fan, but I do agree finding clean examples is hard anymore, especially the compacts, I'm so happy I found one that just needs some gentle tlc! If you ever want to wrench or drive let me know!
