Default wtf am I doing wrong?

had the PSS kit on for a bit now - but only today decided to play with the height...

to my amazement, the is as low as I can get the rear to sit! wtf??

the front is about only half way down (actually had to raise them a bit in order to balance the car out) - BUT this is the very lowest setting on the rear.

very disapointed for some reason - thought for sure I'd be able to slam the car to the floor...

what am I going wrong & how do I get this thing lower in the rear (so I can then drop the front too), without having to cut springs or buy new coils??

another POW

lower is not better, its a very fanboy thing to think that. Corner balance the car.

Remove the collars from the rear perches. (That's the VW way)

You could remove the pads all together as well as the collars from the perches. This will give you another 1/2"-3/4". However, if you do this, make sure that the springs cannot rattle around or fall out when the suspension is fully extended. The springs should always have some compression holding them in place. I suggest jacking both rear wheels off the ground, ensure the parking brake is released, and then give the springs a few sharp jerks to make sure they're not going anywhere. But yeah, I feel ya man, the only other way to safely lower your rear any more would mean that you'ld need to limit the amount of upward travel which in turn would make handling worse

I'm running H&R race springs from a 1.9L Z3 in the rear, and my rear end sits lower than any other Ti I've ever seen. I've considered getting coilovers for the front only, but first I'm gonna see how well my bilstein sport/H&R race M3 setup works up front.

decided to remove the 2 counter-acting nuts from the rear.. should give me an additional 1/4 - 1/2 inch or so... BUT, the springs are sort of loose when the car is off the ground, as it is now. little worried about this, but I'll give it a good old college try anyway.

cant deal with the rake look any more... got to eliminate ALL daylight between the car & the ground! v-dub style LOL

if it fails - going Jessy style - H&R race for the rear & see what happens...

EDIT: just came back from the garage... undid the nuts all the way past the last thread, as far as they can go (the bottom one, anyway) & gave myself another 5mms at least. inspected the springs - which are firmly in place.
gonna drop 1 nut first (& keep 1) - which should give me another fraction of an inch... if that too fails to satisfy me, I'll eliminate both. measured the thickness of the 2 combined nuts - & if I lose both of them, the car should sit (almost) just right!
