Default E30 Control arms

After some resarch i have decided that ill be upgrading (?) to E30 control arms next.

This is because the balljoints in the E30 units are more solid and are without the rubber sheathing found on the E36 units. This means no klonking / wobling at higher speeds when worn.

They are a little stiffer though, but in the grand scheme of things, bares little if no difference to everyday life.

Compatibillity, they are plug and play for 92- model e36s, so us compact boys and girls are covered

Coupled with an E36 M3 3.0 S50 Eccentric control bush, this makes for the most effective and cheapest front end "sport" modification available.

I WILL be doing this mod in the near future as my girl wrecked the left hand outer ball joint on a field trip... Garmin sent her off road apparently

Hope this helps us all , And the prices for the E30 units are a little chepaer than the E36 ones, if you buy the steel and not the aluminum.

Update:

I am now the proud owner of

E30 left wishbone
E30 right wishbone

Powerflex M3 eccentric bushes

... and the difference is...

minimal

The frontwheels are now mabey 2 cms further forward in the wheel well, which should save the inner arches and tyrewall

The wheels camber in nicely, similar to the rear camber now, which looks good

all in all im glad, and it was cheap enough due to the employee rates

is this pretty common? we in the states call the same cabinet door warped lol

I had the E36 M3 offset bushings installed in my new (Steel) Lemforder control arms.....like you said minimal difference.
I looked into the aluminum control arms but they were UBER expensive.

Yeah i looked at the ally ones too, and if they had been home i would have got them .. but they weren´t so f**k it

Needs to be 4 wheel alligned now, and i need to drive it a bit more on the limit to see the difference.

And my steering wheel sits wonky , no lie!!

From my understanding the aluminum ones require replacement every few years if you use them on a daily driver.

I just picked these up and switched to metal ball joints:

And now I understand aluminum ones... man these are heavy!

the steering wheel on every subaru I've driven has sat wonky too, it's either from an alignment problem or, since you've swapped your steering wheel, you mounted it crooked

good buy!

i think the arms in that offer are exactly the same as we sell at work

In anycase the e30 arms are with the solid pressed ball joints

Ally ones are softer, and depeding on useage (track / cross) will need changing more often
