Cool PS3

So is anyone trying to buy the new PS3? Just wondering if you new anyone that has been camping out at the stores waiting for it to go on sale. They are selling on the black market for $2500 not a bad profit considering they cost $599. Read an article and they said that in Japan they sold 90k of them in one day and theu US is only getting half the original orders and that there are still alot of glitches when using previous ps games in them.

I was listening to the radio this morning and they said a lady was camping out in a line with her newborn baby, they mentioned where it was and said that if there is any DSS people around stop by here and take this womens child away from her. That is so wrong camping out with your newborn in line for a PS,she deserves to lose her child for that stupidity.

What is wrong with it? As long as she is taking care of her newborn by feeding it and letting it sleep, changing diapers, etc. It is actually good bonding time if she has to be with it 24 hours a day. However, I do agree that it is a stupid idea, but there is nothing really wrong with it as long as she is providing adequate care.

I say screw PS3 until it is about $300, I am buying a Wii. Not to mention that sony cut back on the initial PS3 deliveries and might not be able to fill all the pre-orders (sorry for those people that bought and sold on eBay that might not have guaranteed units). I believe the local Wal-Mart is getting 6 PS3s and 150 Wiis. The Wii looks more fun, graphics don't impress me, game play does. Heck I spent 100s of hours mudding in the '90s over a 2400 bps modem. It was actually more fun than WoW because there were less jerks. Text based gaming at its best.

Child services doesn't take away your kids because you are spending time with them, they take them away if you go stand in line all night and leave them at home alone. Who are we to judge what somebody else does with their kids if they are providing basic needs to them and loving them?

But the thing is you do not camp out in a parking lot for 2 days with a newborn baby, even if the baby is sleeping and eating.
What kind of a parent would do that? I sure as hell wouldn't and i'd never let my wife or g/f do such a thing.

I sure bet that one or two here in 318ti.org would camp out in rain, snow or what have you for weeks with their dog, cat and family, if they were waiting to get a free DASC or some other high end mod for their TI. Just my two cents, Im just mad my TI is in the shop, that’s all.

Its nearly impossible to get a PS3 now, I went to a couple of Best Buys and people were already camping out for that damn thing. Most of these people are only buying it because of the high demand, up the price and stuff like that.
As for that lady that was camping out with her babies, I think I saw her. I went to the Best Buy in West Hollywood and there she was with an air mattress and a bunch of blankets. To me that just seems ridiculous
Oh well...its not the end of the world. But for these people it sure seems like it.

I just called a local Circuit City here in MD. We are currently under a tornado watch and flood warnings because it's raining biblically. There are people lining up in front of the store already. That's hardcore. I'm trying for a Wii on Sunday.

its raining like its about time for noah to pack up his ark here too.

just went to walmart to get pictures back and there were about 5 tents set up outside the store. crazy i tell you. if youve ever been through a rural upstate ny town, you may know what im talking about.

btw the motion sensor stuff on the wii sounds BA. plus i heard its going for about $250 (not sure?). deffinatly sounds like the better discount to me right now.

there were people camping outside circuit city earlier today, I have to go back today and if the line is under 100 people I am going to stand too, they have 100 units available to the first 100 people, one console per family. Wish me luck guys! lol

I wonder if they will really have 100 units. From everything I have heard in the news and from talking to a friend of mine that is a technology consultant for corporate best buy just about every retailer was only getting two or three units.

....they only got 6, I put up a huge deal too cuz it ticked me off, I called the day before and they said they had the 100 units but then I guess like you said with the retailers not getting many units that happened to them as well....so I got a $50 off coupon lol and walked out with a 30GB zune, now I have all night to figure this thing out.

I am currently waiting in line as I am typing. I've been waiting since last night at Walmart. I went to the one in Viera, FL. and they refused to establish a line so at 6am, the cops were outside and it was pouring rain and they did a count down and everyone sprinted to the door (about 50 people) and everyone was shoving and then they stopped when the cops pulled out the pepper spray. My friend got the number 10 spot and I left to Cocoa Beach, FL. and luckily got the number 7 spot at their Walmart and have 2 hrs to go until I can go.

I honestly hope you plan on selling it on ebay. I can't see any game console, especially one with known, published bugs, being worth that kind of effort.

I would love one of these. The PSP had bugs too and the hackers fixed them before Sony. If you just wait a year, they will be down to the same price as an XBOX 360 premium. I'm buying one of those for myself this christmas, PS3 next year.

It's also the lowest priced blu-ray player I have seen. I have seen them on sale for a grand.
