i even took out my cannon rubber mats and cleaned them in my bath tub! i'll be vinylex'ing them today before they go back in the car.

hahahhahahaha! i have only bought one bmw the other was a gift.
no one ever told me that as soon as i bought or got them every penny would go into them!!

i think my downfall was this site. until i found ti.org, i hadn't really put much into the ti (except the very large original purchase price of course, lol). i really do like the car though, i guess that's why i want to put money into upkeep and mods. it's served me well over 11 years and nearly 230k miles. __________________ 1996 318ti, California package, 267k miles

i have cleaned it prior to this time, you know, lol but it probably has been over a year (maybe two?) since i really cleaned it thoroughly like this. i still have to clean and protect the passenger and rear leather seats and do the hatch area (although i'll probably hold off on the latter since i still need to reassemble things back there). the lexol leather products really bring back the leather smell too, very nice. i'm even going to (gasp) install my leather arm rest that i've had sitting in the garage for a year or more. my car is going to know it's christmas!
to really do it right, i would like to pull the seats and remove the carpets so i can use a carpet shampooer on them. my friend thought i had replaced my carpets and was surprised to hear that they are the originals. the weathertech mats have protected most of the carpet quite well. i have a few areas that have gotten dirty over 11 winters that really need a shampooing (areas around edges of the mats, close to the gas pedal, etc). i guess when i get some vaders, that would be a good time to do it. __________________ 1996 318ti, California package, 267k miles

Well hope you have fun Sean, I rather have rain over snow any day. Wow Eric you actually cleaned your interior?  haha Yea havn't done much to the Ti just sitting there in the driveway, I can't wait till spring comes around.  For now I'm just looking around ebay to see what i can buy for the Ti, like mirrors and stuff like that. Since i didn't get nothing for the Ti for christmas.  | | | | | |
