Hi all,
I just had the 318ti in at a tyre shop to get the wheels aligned, picked it up and they said all was fine, no adjustment was necessary.
Not that I was noticing anything wrong with the handling (aside from increased amount of tram lining since I put the 17" wheels on), I was simply getting it done before an upcoming 2,100km road trip.
I was reading the print out and I am suspecting they loaded up the wrong target data, as far as I know the suspension system of the 318ti is different to the 318i? I remember reading somewhere the rear suspension is from the M30 BMW's? So as a result, should the 318ti wheel alignment be adjusted to different target values? And yes, I have seen J!m's post where the front wheel alignment figures are posted up - they are different to what is on the sheet I have.
Here is the data I have on the sheet: Vehicle: BMW 3-er E36 Sedan and Wagon Production: 1995
Rear Ride Height Left / Right / Target
580mm / 580mm / 546±2mm
Front Ride Height Left / Right / Target
615mm / 615mm / 604±2mm
