I say a M42/m44 has a header, like all I4s have A Header, not headers. | | | 07-07-2005, 07:35 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Essex UK Posts: 164 | Well I reckon its an "Exhaust Manifold" Best regards David | | | 07-07-2005, 07:45 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2004 Location: Port St. Johns, Florida Posts: 2,242 | arghh!!! mental snapping of the brain. | | | 07-07-2005, 03:19 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2004 Location: North Saint Paul, MN Posts: 606 | __________________ '96 Alaska Blue ti w/ Supersprint cat-back exhaust...Dinan CAI & Chip...Eibach Pro-Kit Springs...Bilstein Sport shocks...BavAuto camber kit...Brembo d/s rotors...UUC SSK...Centerforce Dual Friction clutch...TMS 9lb flywheel...18 inch OZ Rims...Carbon-Fiber dash/gauge bezel...Momo Shift Knob...Indiglo gauges...Schroth Harness...ZKW's/ProLumen 6k HID...Predator Chromiums http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y15...urowerksig.jpg | | | 07-07-2005, 03:45 PM | #5 | doesn't care about you. This is the only aftermarket one I've seen, so I'm waiting to see if something cheaper exists. __________________ '96 Alaska Blue ti w/ Supersprint cat-back exhaust...Dinan CAI & Chip...Eibach Pro-Kit Springs...Bilstein Sport shocks...BavAuto camber kit...Brembo d/s rotors...UUC SSK...Centerforce Dual Friction clutch...TMS 9lb flywheel...18 inch OZ Rims...Carbon-Fiber dash/gauge bezel...Momo Shift Knob...Indiglo gauges...Schroth Harness...ZKW's/ProLumen 6k HID...Predator Chromiums http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y15...urowerksig.jpg | | | 07-07-2005, 04:22 PM | #7 | TRETEN IRGENDEINES ESELS Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Rhode Island Posts: 3,687 | I think Bosal makes one or atleast they used to. I don't know about M44's, but '95 M42's already have a tubular exhaust manifold (header). An aftermarket header will not give much (if any) gain. I read somewhere that the factory header is a very good design. | | | 07-07-2005, 04:50 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2004 Location: North Saint Paul, MN Posts: 606 | Quote: Originally Posted by Boxbrownie | lol I was guessing on the header thing! I also prefer the exhaust tone of a 4-2-1 less buzzy. The 4-1 likely provides better HP over 5500 rpm's though... I just hope they were suicide bombers......at least that'll be four more wankers out of the way......and maybe at sometime in the future their families will realise the futility of it all and feel the same grief as our families are now.
