I've only removed the cluster, not the frame around it. Looks good. I added chrome rings to my 96. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 12-01-2013, 05:06 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2013 Location: Sag Harbor, NY Posts: 192 | thanks, I will post when its redone, still not bad for the first time ever | | | 12-01-2013, 05:25 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Don't forget to replace the bulbs behind the fog and headlight switches. Might as well do it now while the cluster is out. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 12-01-2013, 05:59 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2010 Location: Montreal Posts: 283 | Last week I removed the cluster from a 95 sedan, i had to remove the steering wheel and air bag to get it out. To replace a burnt bulb on my ti cluster, does it have to come out the same way? | | | 12-01-2013, 06:43 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | You can get the cluster out without removing the steering wheel. I remove the trim surrounding the steering column. It's also a PITA that way. I cracked one of my clusters forcing it in. I now remove the steering wheel. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 12-01-2013, 07:42 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2013 Location: Sag Harbor, NY Posts: 192 | Quote: Originally Posted by 1996 328ti You can get the cluster out without removing the steering wheel.
