Just to clarify, It does fit. Either top mount or bottom mount. Top mount will require about 4" of spacing between the manifold and turbo which leaves just enough hood room with a smaller turbo. Bottom mount will definitely require a custom motor mount but I havent done anything yet since I picked up a 90 325IS and have 90% of the turbo parts for that. THe 318 Turbo project is on the back burner fo rnow. I may just go with a tiny turbo like a K03 or smaller and be able to do without a custom motor mount. This will obviously yield less power but I am not shooting for more than 225 at the wheel at this point. I will post updates periodically but I really want to clarify that it does indeed fit and is a good solution.

Heres the almost complete kit. If I go topmount then the internal wastegate will do fine but if I go bottom mount the wastegate will never clear the block so thats where the wastegate adapter comes in. Im still trying to get my hands on this tiny turbo from my buddy that will clear everything and more than likely push a good 6-8Psi.

And one of the rims We sandblasted, polished and painted.

Is your goal to make 225 WHP with this setup, or is this only your starting point? You won't even get close to 225 WHP with 6-8 PSI; the DASC guys are only making around 200 with a 10 PSI pulley and TT Stage 3.

I have to disagree. It is all in tuning. I have seen MK-III supra's make 300Hp with 8psi with the proper tune while others make 280Hp with 12Psi. I plan on running a very agressive timing curve. I have an Emanage with Ignition, injector and afm harnesses. You can't really compare a supercharger with a turbo since it is taking about 20-25hp just to turn the supercharger to 10psi. I recently sold an 84 325E with a K26, intercooler, profec E-01, M-300 wideband and an extremely agressive tune and it made more power with 8Psi then it would make with the factory tune at 1 bar. AFR's were right at 12.5:1 at WOT and full boost throughout. Car made approx 235hp and 280Tq and this is from a stock 121hp M20 2.7L. Of course I had to keep a couple gallons of ethanol on hand in the summer to prevent detonation but that was about the only drawback. If it takes a couple more Psi to get there then I can just up the boost but I would rather squeeze every hp per pound of boost rather than simply add more psi to a setup that isnt tuned to optimal efficiency.

I like the way you think! That is very true as well just because a car with a supercharger only hits a certain HP/TQ doesn't mean the it had a proper tune. I've seen a couple main places around here tune a car enough so it won't blow up and go faster than it originally was. There was a turbo'd honda hatch that had pvc piping for the intercooler piping. Anyways back to the topic, my friend just out of curiosity took his car to one of those main places in town and had them tune his car. Then 2 weeks later took his car to an actual tuner of that car and gained another 21 HP and 18 TQ. The tuner (can't remember his name) said that it was enough to go for a while but later down the road it was bound to blow up from running too lean. So it's all in who you take your car to, to get it tuned. I want to learn how to tune so I can do it myself! Hopes and dreams I know

Is the bolt pattern of the flange the same as on the m42/m44?

If it indeed is then i might be keen to try this manifold...

One more question... Where or how did you make that spacer with the wastegate flange?? Is it available anywhere?
