Default Are spark plug wires a maintenance item?

Well, the title explains it all: whether the plug wires are really a maintenance item (I'm sure that if it is my 150K miles on the clock make it due) or is more like the 3,000 miles oil change (with all due respect, of course). What does BMW recommends on this matter?

If so, has any of you guys ever herd of "BMW High Performance Spark Plug Wires" (like these or these)

I'd recommend changing them with that mileage

Default Spark plug wires

Hey Luca;

Yes the wires do need replacing, in MHO, every 100k or so. Check MagnaCore replacements. I got a set on a GB and am happy with em, even tho they were a bi$%ch to install.

Me.

he's talking about Magnacore wires, which I think are a considerable amount thicker than just replacement wires

Thanks guys!!! I found a seller on eBay that has NGK wires and NGK Iridium sparkplugs (BKR7EIX-2667) with heat rate of 7, perfect for the DASC. Wires are $168 while plugs are $29.

I guess I'll change them with the next oil change
