Default Brake Upgrade rear 328ti

Got an Eurpoean 323ti with an 328 engine. Planning to uppgrde brakes in front soon with M3 E36 3.2 Euro brakes.

Is it bolt on with Z3M brakes rear on my car? I heard someone talking about swap trailing arms but maybe that is only for 318ti?

Compare part numbers on realoem.com for the trailing arms.

Nothing is "bolt on" but before I chased the big rear brake demon,, I'd just buy really good pads. and maybe some under car duct-work for cooling. If your tracking the car on a road race course. For street I would not bother. They will stop fine until you start hitting them hard multiple times and over heat.

Just my opinion, youll get more...

What is the reason you want bigger brakes in the rear?
I found when using I have too much brake in the rear that the car was squirrelly under moderate to hard braking.

Other than that, M Coupe brakes?

The reason why i need other brakes is that i have to register my car in sweden as a rebuilt car, than you have to change engine, gearbox, diff and brakes including brakecylinder. After that is done and i got an ok it is much easier to join all kinds of trackday. A little bit difficult to explain though it it concerning the laws in sweden

Anyway it must not be BIGGER brakes but a little bit bigger brakes rear could not be bad now when i got M3 E36 brakes in the front.

Personally i am pleased with my rear brakes, today i drive with original brake disc and just a little bit better brake pads (no racing stuff) for next season the plan whas to try full racepad even at the rear but now it´s a change of plans, some kind of brake modification is on my wishlist.

So now guys, is there any bolt on brakes from BMW,perhaps a little bit bigger

With e36 m3 brakes up front and stock Compact rear brakes, I can understand the need for "bigger" rear brakes. The change in the brake bias on an e36 323ti Compact with only e36 m3 rotors up front is serious.

Maybe you will find some useful information in this thread: http://www.318ti.org/forum/showthread.php?t=12852

I have the same problem with my brake system.

At the front I use the 325mm brake out of the E46 330Ci und the rear is stock.

A way to change to bigger breakes on the rear is shown here:
http://www.300mm.de/301mm/301mm.htm

A friend of mine tries this solution on his S50B32 TI in combination with the 345mm compound break from the 135i.

If he sais it´s good, I´ll mount this 300mm on the rear axle at my TI too.

Another solution is to mount the brake discs from the Z4 2.5si (294x19mm) in combination with the M3 rear axle brake calipers und the rigth adapter from www.300mm.de

I can look for the direct links to this two solutions on 300mm.de when I´m at home.

As far as I know you have to swap the trailing arms to the Z3 M because the mounting system (I how its the right word) for the brake calipers and brake disks is not the same as on the 323ti.
