Folding sunroof delete

Looking to either try and repair a leaking sunroof by the corners or a delete for the folding roof. I am at a cross roads with this leak so far and looking at other options. This is a first car for my daughter and I want to just repair it but not at the cost of 2k plus for new insert. I have the headliner out and found the leaks but can't get to where I need to, too repair them. I'm not sure how to just remove the cloth top, as I have researched the crap out of it, but I know that is where I need to get to so I can get to those corners where the leak is coming from. My drain tubes are clear and in good shape, but the area where they are around is where it drips. .

So anyway next step may be to seal it off. Any ideas would be really appreciated. I did see one thread on here about it but it is pretty old and not sure if it worked in the end.

I've got the canvas folding roof as well and have just started to sort out how to check for leaks. The Etka parts diagram shows the roof assembly as a cassette. Looks like the whole assembly can be dropped. If so, that may give you the access that you need.
