Hi just bought a 1997 318 TI M sport it came with a stromung exhaust.

I want a quite car so this have to go.

Asking for $350 picked up

useless info bump, my ti came with a stromung muffler the kid cut off with a sawsall. how do I tell if the rest of the exhaust is stromung? is it stamped anywhere else?

The Strömung is a 1-piece cat-back that bolts up to the flange on the stock cat. The only reason I can imagine anyone would cut & weld it would be to install on a non-stock exhaust. Strömung is all pipe from cat to muffler, so it should function the same if welded on, just a bigger job to install than bolting on. HTH.
