Made me google the tape... Stuff looks interesting, heat reflective instead of heat dissipating. Could use that instead of all that heavy heat shield under the car. 24"x12" sheets for $35 isn't exactly cheap but for the weight saving and the cleaner, simpler look, I think it's well worth it.

Man that thing is going to be a beast plus your car is nice and lite which will make it pretty damn quick. Can't wait for the first start video.

Default HELLLLPPPPP

okay so finally got the car all ready to start and stuff for the first time since it was down from the blown engine crap.

so while doing the installation of everything i always double check even triple check everything and made sure everything was fine and connected where it should be and all that so confident that the motor is gonna start right away i give it a shot, switch on and all lights come on normal and some of them go off like used to and then turn the key a little more to crank the car and nothing happend, no crank, no fuel pump on nothing so at this point im thinking it has to be a ews2 problem but not sure how to fix it or what else can i check first so if u guys have any ideas please let me know, i dont really wanna tow the car to the dealer and have them figure out whats wrong

Realign the ews. Mine was towed to the dealer and had that done for like 120 bucks. Not even.

That's what my dealer said too. But my buddy had hook ups so I guess that helps. Go make friends with the mechanics at the dealer haha

Have the title for the donor? Maybe get in touch with the service manager at the dealer?

I keep seeing dealerships running from any older vehicle. Hell the Harley dealer near me doesn't like touching my 87 Sportster because their guys "aren't trained older bikes" It's the same damn bike as an 03 with a few minor changes.

Mental note to stay away from anything that REQUIRES the dealer... so far thats just ews... that makes, what, a 95 m3 the only viable donor (to make an m3ti) since the ews can be deleted from that older one?

Send it to TRM and have them delete the ews altogether. I can't tell you how much headache that has saved me.

It is a KEY EWS issue. Do you have the remote keyring away from the ignition switch key so the EWS can locate the correct key for the 668 DME you are using

It is the exact DME change out like when I sent you a loaner DME while we flashed your original. No starter is EWS does not reconize the key in the ignition. Allignment will not take care of this. Everything you have is alligned and just need the correct key chip read to enable starter and then fuel and spark should work fine.
