Stuff looks interesting, heat reflective instead of heat dissipating. Could use that instead of all that heavy heat shield under the car. 24"x12" sheets for $35 isn't exactly cheap but for the weight saving and the cleaner, simpler look, I think it's well worth it. | | | 03-10-2012, 02:18 AM | #440 | Member Join Date: Jun 2011 Location: ASTORIA,QUEENS NYC Posts: 94 | i want to c that.. | | | 03-10-2012, 03:34 AM | #441 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Auburn, WA Posts: 1,814 | __________________ 5/96 318TI Sport BIG TURBO | | | 03-10-2012, 04:24 AM | #442 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Gulfport, Florida Posts: 3,208 | Man that thing is going to be a beast plus your car is nice and lite which will make it pretty damn quick. Mine was towed to the dealer and had that done for like 120 bucks. Not even. __________________ Im guessing im the youngest member on here with a S52 power'ed Ti at 16 years old! | | | 03-13-2012, 10:20 AM | #446 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Auburn, WA Posts: 1,814 | Called the dealer and they won't even touch the car since it have a different computer and different engine __________________ 5/96 318TI Sport BIG TURBO | | | 03-13-2012, 12:38 PM | #447 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2010 Location: Potomac Falls VA DMV Posts: 1,794 | That's what my dealer said too. But my buddy had hook ups so I guess that helps. Go make friends with the mechanics at the dealer haha __________________ Im guessing im the youngest member on here with a S52 power'ed Ti at 16 years old! | | | 03-13-2012, 02:54 PM | #448 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2009 Location: Detroit Posts: 164 | Quote: Originally Posted by Jean H.318TI Called the dealer and they won't even touch the car since it have a different computer and different engine | Have the title for the donor? Maybe get in touch with the service manager at the dealer? I keep seeing dealerships running from any older vehicle. Hell the Harley dealer near me doesn't like touching my 87 Sportster because their guys "aren't trained older bikes" It's the same damn bike as an 03 with a few minor changes. Mental note to stay away from anything that REQUIRES the dealer... so far thats just ews... that makes, what, a 95 m3 the only viable donor (to make an m3ti) since the ews can be deleted from that older one? | | | 03-13-2012, 03:01 PM | #449 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2010 Location: Atlanta Posts: 233 | Send it to TRM and have them delete the ews altogether. I can't tell you how much headache that has saved me. __________________ -PTS- "Some people like cupcakes better. Do you have the remote keyring away from the ignition switch key so the EWS can locate the correct key for the 668 DME you are using It is the exact DME change out like when I sent you a loaner DME while we flashed your original. No starter is EWS does not reconize the key in the ignition. Allignment will not take care of this. Everything you have is alligned and just need the correct key chip read to enable starter and then fuel and spark should work fine. Last edited by xxxJohnBoyxxx; 03-13-2012 at 03:46 PM.
