Anyone ever find rebuild parts for them? I have no reason to go to a larger case diff, but my LSD is getting a little tired. Haven't seen much info on rebuilding the small case ones. __________________ No more ti. | | | 02-01-2011, 05:28 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2009 Location: MD/PA/DC Posts: 1,629 | Metric is a tad pricey for what I want to deal with, great stuff though. __________________ No more ti. | | | 02-01-2011, 05:51 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | Have you asked diffsonline? Maybe he'd sell you just the clutches. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 02-01-2011, 07:04 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2009 Location: MD/PA/DC Posts: 1,629 | Just shot diffsonline an email....145 bucks ea...2 in the diff... I didnt pay much more for a complete torque bias diff for my ford. One of the few expensive bmw parts I guess. I'll put it on the list of things to do. Needs a trans and motor first. __________________ No more ti. Most people go with the 188 because of the I6 power... Which sucks for me, because I could care less about more power. Just want a good LSD and MPG. __________________ No more ti. | | | 02-17-2011, 04:34 AM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | The 924 has a different clutch part number and it's cheaper than the 944 part as well. http://www.autoatlanta.com/results.p...332%20551%2010 Says it is 2mm which is how thick the BMW clutches are. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 02-03-2012, 09:30 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | So I started thinking about this again and believe I found the answer. In Metric Mechanic's differential pdf they say that the 168mm diff is used in all 4cyls and the E21 320i. I found this thread about a 320i lsd rebuild http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum....php?t=1115194 Which lead me to the realoem parts diagram http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?...29&hg=33&fg=15 So the clutch disk part number should be 33141203806 __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 02-03-2012, 10:42 PM | #11 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | Quote: Originally Posted by spidertri | Genius^^^ | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
