2011 American Cancer Society Driving Event at the BMW Performance Center Sunday, April 3.
BMW Manufacturing is not going to host a standalone Relay for Life event this year, but will join with the Relay for Life Spartanburg event in May.
BMW will be putting on a driving event as a fundraiser, at the BMW Performance Center on Sunday, April 3. The driving starts at 8 am. and ends at 5 pm. with a lunch break starting at 12 noon and ending at 1 pm.
There will be 5 Driving Rotations to choose from:
Area 1 Wet / Dry auto-X:
Driving 335s or 650 (TBD) through a coned autocross course that combines normal dry asphalt with a wet polished concrete surface.
Area 4 Performance Drive:
Drive an (TBD), around a large road course.
Area 3B Timed Runs:
Drive the all new 335 around a road course and try to post you best lap time.
Area 5 Off Road course
Driving the X5 or X3, you will challenge the capabilities of BMWs X Drive all wheel system.
Area 6 Rat Race:
Driving the (TBD) you will race your opponent around a course to see who gets back to the finish line first
Anyone with a valid drivers license may participate.
Driving tickets are $30 per ticket. Tickets are available at the BMW Zentrum now, and will also be available at the event, first come first serve.
