This is my wife’s car that she bought new in California. We brought the car to Toronto in 2001 when we moved here and then shipped it to Florida in 2004 were it has been used sparingly in the winters at our vacation property.
The car is completely stock with the exception of day time running lights that were added when it was imported into Canada. The car is currently registered in Florida.
New brake pads and front rotors installed ~6,000 miles ago at Maranello BMW dealership in Toronto
New catalytic converter installed ~3,000 miles ago at Parkview BMW dealership in Toronto
New tires installed ~4,000 miles ago
Overall the car is in very good condition and has mostly original paint with the exception of both front fenders that were repainted to correct minor dings that unfortunately damaged the original paint. The work was flawless and done at Crayford Coachworks & Braces Paint and Auto Body, both located in Marina Del Rey. There is a small area of “spider web” cracking in the paint on the corner of the rear bumper as shown in the photos, but the area is so small that I didn’t bother having it corrected. The car has been garaged since new and the paint is in good condition with only a few small stone chips in the front, none down to bare metal.
Overall the car is reliable and in very good condition and has served us well, but it doesn’t get driven enough and it is time to pass it on to a new owner.
NEEDS: As mentioned the car is in very good condition but the headliner has started to sag and needs to be repaired, otherwise the interior is in good condition with very little wear (no rips) but will benefit from a detailing.
The front hood struts and the rear hatch struts no longer hold and should be replaced.
A couple of the roundels on the wheel covers are peeling and edges on one or two of the wheel covers have some minor curb rash.
The gasket between the driver’s door outside handle and door skin has not weathered well and should be replacement to improve cosmetics.
Please note photos were taken approximately 1,500 miles ago and don’t show the condition of the headliner.
Inspections are welcomed and encouraged. The car is located in Palm Beach, unfortunately I’m not in Florida now however my father-in-law is available to show the car to interested parties.
