I'm still getting familiar with her but there's already a few things that I know I will want/need to get fairly soon. It's Hellrot with black leather interior. Here's what I want/need so far, with more to follow. Thanks in advance for any help. Driver's side mirror if it's the matching red. Would be okay with black ones for both sides. Driver's side door panel. It's all black with two speakers. Hellrot front exterior nose panel Black floor mats factory spare tire I'm in the Atlanta, GA area so if anyone has any ideas or options let me know. Thank you! I can be reached by email at: tsiracer@hotmail.com; or crobinson@gforce.com | | | 08-30-2007, 02:11 AM | #2 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | Congrats on the new car and welcome to the site. I have a pair of black mirrors that I'll let go for cheap, but for your sake I'd recommend sticking with hellrot. The 318ti shares the same mirrors as the e36 sedan, so try ebay and bf.c first. You might browse through our for sale section, but I don't recall anyone selling hellrot mirrors lately. __________________ 4 MORE YEARS BABY!!! | | | 08-30-2007, 02:55 AM | #3 | Member Join Date: Aug 2007 Location: Atlanta, GA Posts: 70 | Thank you. I prefer the Hellrot red on the outside of the mirrors, the only problem is that when I bought it the passenger side has the original mirror but the driver's side has a solid black one. I'm kinda picky so I'd prefer for them to match. Although the car has a few external cosmetic issues anyway so it's not going to win any concourse events anytime soon. Thanks for the heads up on the e36 mirror swap though. Do you know if the door panels from the e36 coupe will swap into a ti? | | | 08-30-2007, 02:58 AM | #4 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | no, the door panels are different. __________________ 4 MORE YEARS BABY!!! | | | 08-30-2007, 03:10 AM | #5 | Member Join Date: Aug 2007 Location: Atlanta, GA Posts: 70 | Of course, isn't that always the way. | | | 08-30-2007, 03:47 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: 43609 Posts: 3,425 | I have the spare rim/tire if interested. __________________ 1995 Hellrot Clubsport 318ti -Gone 1996 Schwartz II Sport 357ti - 5.7L V8 LS1/6 1997 Moregrun Metallic 318ti - Gone 1998 Schwartz II sport 318ti - M50TUB25/5 | | | 08-30-2007, 04:31 PM | #7 | Member Join Date: Aug 2007 Location: Atlanta, GA Posts: 70 | I am. I'm not a big fan of those doughnut spare tires but I don't want to lose all my trunk with a full-size spare. Is your spare in good shape? Do you know what it would cost to ship or what it weighs? Nice looking ride too, btw. I'm a huge fan of that dark, blacked out look. It's like Darth Vaders ti. | | | 08-30-2007, 04:38 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: 43609 Posts: 3,425 | The spare was never used and has the studs on it still. Not sure how much it weighs but shouldnt cost anymore than about 25 to ship. Thats a PS of what my car may look like after im done with it. __________________ 1995 Hellrot Clubsport 318ti -Gone 1996 Schwartz II Sport 357ti - 5.7L V8 LS1/6 1997 Moregrun Metallic 318ti - Gone 1998 Schwartz II sport 318ti - M50TUB25/5 | | | 08-30-2007, 05:12 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: maritimes Posts: 1,433 | you can get knock-off M style mirrors off ebay for pretty darn cheap.... i don't know what the downsides could be though, if any. __________________ 11/97 Base 328Ti | | | 08-30-2007, 05:51 PM | #10 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | I found this one but then I realized that you need a driver's side. I just bought a set of these and they should arrive this week. It's a pretty good deal for M3 replicas, but they still have to be painted. The cheaper replicas were alright for the price, but they were 3 piece, which I converted to two piece with JB Weld and body filler, and I also had to reinforce the mounting holes by drilling them wider and inserting threaded metal sleeves since the supplied hardware just screwed into plastic holes which seemed like it would crack and break off. Then after sanding them to perfection, I primered and painted them. A little trimming here and there on the mounts with a Dremel during installation and they looked great on the car after about 6 hours of labor. This is a good option if you really want M3 mirrors and are on a tight budget. After all was said and done, I think I spent a little over 75 bucks on the mirrors and materials. Not to mention a lot of time and craftsmanship. I sold them to a friend a while back and he's still rocking them. But I have to say that I wish I would have just spent the extra money on the M3 replicas that I linked above in the first place. __________________ 4 MORE YEARS BABY!!! | | | 08-30-2007, 07:11 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Florida Posts: 2,525 | Quote: Originally Posted by Johnny Utah the passenger side has the original mirror but the driver's side has a solid black one. The piece that is on the front of the side mirror just pops off. Take it to a body shop with your car color code and have them paint it. It shouldn't be any more than 50$. | | | 09-13-2007, 07:39 PM | #12 | Member Join Date: Aug 2007 Location: Atlanta, GA Posts: 70 | Thank you all very much for the advice and help. Bluebimma - I think I may have found one at a local Atlanta junkyard, so I'm going to check that out and see if it saves me some shipping money. My wife is in school student teaching this year so we have only one income and it's better to save money than spend it right now. I think after I make a trip there I'll see what they have and what I'll still need after that. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
