Default HID Kit Group Buy

Hey Guys,

I'm in the middle of contacting a few chinese manufacturers about HID kits including ballasts and bulbs. They are offering me quite good prices on HID kits and offer relatively good guarantees for longevity.

Here's the summary so far:

I got 1 quote from 1 manufacturer, I talked with 5 different manufacturers.

I asked about H7 HID kits and H1 kits (for fogs). It looks like we'll be able to get kits for $130 or so including bulbs and ballasts or less. Let me know who would be interested in a group buy from one of these manufacturers. As you may know, the larger the quantity, the cheaper the price.

The responding manufacturer is Kingston International: http://www.kstcargo.com/group/en/

I don't even have Depo/Euro lights yet, so I would just get the H1's first. I also have a request for DEPO style lights (the eBay kind) from another manufacturer. I expect a quote around $110 for those, but we shall see. I'll keep you guys updated. This is one of those times where I'm glad I'm fluent in Chinese... haha

Edit:
Preliminary Price List:

M3 front bumper ~ 150-170, need 3 for group buy
CCFL White/Blue/Red Angel Eyes for Euro ellipsoids ~ $50, need 10 for group buy
ABS Eyebrows for headlights (like e46 style) ~ $20, need 10
Chrome or Silver Dash rings - $25, need 10
Depo style Euro lights with LED Angel eyes preinstalled ~ $185, need 10

This is all preliminary, I need to figure out shipping to me, and does not include shipping to you. This is still an early stage, so if it's slightly out of your price range, keep watching because more people = cheaper prices.

Final Prices:
H1/H3/H7/H4/H8/H9/H11/H13/9004-9007 HID kits - $120, need 10, Color temps: 4300k, 6000k, 10000k, 15000k

I didn't know anyone would be interested in HB3 and HB4 types. As with the H7's and H1's, the price should be around $130 + s/h for those too. I'll get back with more information when I get more replies. I can ship to the UK, though, but it might not be cheap. I want to make sure that these won't die in 3 months or whatever. I know the first quoted ones use ballasts that are good for 20,000 hours and bulbs good to 4,000 hours.

I'm trying to check that out. It looks good so far, they have a good reliability rating (Gold) as far as Chinese OEM Manufacturers go.

Just wanted to get back at you. From what I've read, I was offered 10 sets of angel eyes at $50 a set. Cold cathode eyes, not LED. In white, red, or blue.

I feel sick enough knowing my Depos are of questionable origin, but to start up a GB with a company in China is beyond my limits

I know, they are all probably made there anyway, no matter who you buy them from.

To be fair, the company is Lumen Automotive located in Hong Kong. They have e-mark certification as well as DOT.

Despite the fact that many things, including TV's, DVD players, etc. are made in China, you wouldn't trust a Hong Kong (seperate entity with ISO 9001 requirements for manufacturing) company to make your stuff for you? I'm not sure why people don't trust stuff made in China. Look on your labels. If anyone here browses Fatwallet, they'd know that most of the cheapest and best made flashlights (xenon) can be bought at Fifthunit/DealExtreme for 1/5th the price of stuff sold in the US through retail. US Retail markup is between 50-100% from wholesale.
