Default 3 Series Bosal Exhaust Question

I have a 318ti and i'm interested in this bosal system. but i also have a 1998 318i.

i know this is not directly related to the ti but i figure peoeple here are generally knowledgeable about the entire e36 1.9l's.

anyway, there is a bosal exhaust clearance on the 93-98' 318is system. now, as far as i can tell, the IS is just a 2 door incarnation of the 4 door 318i. so am i correct in the assumption that this exhaust should work fine on my 318i? a few have told me conflicting things.

i would check the ETK (www.realoem.com/bmw) to see if the stock exhaust part numbers match up. if they do, i can't imagine why the bosal pieces wouldn't be the same for both.

The bad news. The CAT back factory exhaust is a different part number from the 318ti to the other E36 318i's. It looks different as well and the muffler hangers. I would say no, but is it too far off to make it fit ??? This, I can not say. Get yer self a good ole Sledge and wack er in. =D
