Okay.....so far......performances with Stage 2 Dinan chip has been impressive.
Throttle response, mid RPM torque and 0-60 launches.
Tried doing 6 launches at RFK stadium parking lot with a friend timing with a Stopwatch.....I know, I know not quite accurate, but just to get rough data:
Averaged 8.22 seconds and reached 60 in 2nd gear at 6800RPMs. Isn't that "Almost" a second quicker than the estimates on the literature?
In 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears.....the engine feels stronger and pulls quickly to 7000rpms. I'm guessing the HP gain estimated by Dinan is probably conservative and I won't be surprised that with a CAI set-up and stage 2 chip, the M44 engine can wring out up to 145-150 hp, roughly 125 at the rear wheels, if my calculation is correct. I'm also seriously thinking of installing a LTW flywheel.
