When I had my bmx bike, it was more for show, and was really heavy. I had a NEXT bike and a mongoose. I removed the chrome pegs off the NEXT and put the black ones from the mongoose. I also switched out the tires. It didn't help it either way, but did look really cool. The bike also needs to have a 2 way chain. If you pedal forward, the bike will go forward, and if you pedal backwards, it will go backwards. The clutch system doesn't not have tight enough chains to get instant response that you need. That's just from what I learned. I stopped bmx-ing after I got my first car. __________________ Come get a ti-shirt Quote: From the e30 M3, evolved the e36. But one thing you should know is that 2 way systems have their chains brake off more easily. I went through 7 chains on my bike before quitting. My Next bike never had a chain break off. __________________ Come get a ti-shirt Quote: From the e30 M3, evolved the e36. I've heard that m3 chains give less hp to the bike. __________________ Come get a ti-shirt Quote: From the e30 M3, evolved the e36. Posts: 3,156 | I used to ride back in the 80's, and I have a small collection of bikes now... 1985 Haro FST still in the wrapping (red- like Brian Blyther's; I actually met him too, cool guy!) 1986 Haro Master (white) also never built yet, the same exact bike I rode in the 80's... 1987 Haro Team Sport (Teal) I bought this bike in poor shape a few years ago, and did a full restoration; but the original paint was (is) excellent 1986 HAro Master (chrome) that is my 'rider' 1993 Robinson Amtrac BMX race bike. I restored this as well, and it is a cool rider.
