Coilovers Sorry if this is repost but i couldnt find what i needed at search... I am looking to buy a whole new suspension set up for autox. I need springs and shocks/struts. I looked into Bav Auto Springs with Blistein shocks, which would run me about 640 total. Im sure this is great and all, to me it would work fine. I also saw that BavAuto sells their own coilovers. The coilovers are adjustable in the back and comes with the BavAuto springs and their custom shocks. These would run me about 700, but probably easier on installation, and i get to adjust the rear. So lemme know what you think guys. Remember, this is performance wise, money is barely and option in this range. (nothing over 750 shipped) | | | 06-13-2006, 02:41 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Halethorpe, MD Posts: 1,028 | For a daily driver/autocross car I've always thought coilovers were overkill. I'm running the Eibach Pro-Kit with my stock sport shocks and the car is still faster than I am How interested in lowering the car are you? You could always just get some Koni adjustables and keep your springs. | | | 06-13-2006, 02:47 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2005 Location: Asheville NC Posts: 669 | if it's performance you're after, you could get some stiffer springs than the bavauto ones for similar $. I went with bavauto because I wanted a good compromise for a daily driver, it still handles awesome compared to stock, but could have been better, but at the cost of comfort. | | | 06-13-2006, 04:37 PM | #4 | Junior Member Join Date: Sep 2005 Location: Kentucky Posts: 22 | Im looking to be very competitive. Im working to easily win my classes (autox is very big in my area), so i need coilovers i think. The bavauto coil's just seem like a good idea because of adjustability in the rear and they are the springs and shocks. I also would liuke some comfort when driving. i dont want my springs to be unbelievably tight. Lowering it really doenst matter to me. The bavauto coils are 1 1/4" and i think that is fine. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
