Hey Mister M52, HOW WE LOOKING???? I actually started to consider swapping in an LS3 V8 and then KMiata built a Honda K20/K24 swap kit for the E30 and its friggin AWESOME and they strung me along for more than a year saying they were gonna do an E36 kit and still to this day they have not busted a grape on the E36 chassis K swap kit!! So my mechanic who is from Poland and is a Euro-Freak did not like that I was gonna swap a beloved Euro Autobahn cruiser and said "why don't you just boost this" and then that led me again to check in on the progress of the kit and its moving as fast Joe Biden walks! So are you throwing in the towel on this whole deal Mr. M52? or are you just buried up to your neck in other ****? Because I NEED FUGGIN HORSEPOWER!

Hello Everyone! We have been busy with a few projects and after much delay, the kits were released late last year.

This community was the birthplace for the V4 Supercharger Project and we want to show our support in 2021 we have a special discount in place for 318Ti Forum members only.
So anyone wanting a kit, show us that you are a 318Ti forum member with more than 10 posts and we will give you a discount.

Currently we have the latest version of the V4 MOAB Brackets available now and we are offering them under our Hyde Motor Works brand.

Here are a few pictures.

Details can be found here: https://hydemotorworks.com/products-...linder-SC-Kits

Currently we also have a summer 2021 sale:

And some pictures of a new Project being completed by a good friend living in Ireland, this is for the M45, M62 superchargers, a separate topic will be made about it.

Take care everyone, drop a line here and let us know what you think!

Best regards to everyone!
Hyde from Stuttgart.

I got an S52 in my 318ti, which has worked out amazing - still loving it in Boston, MA area now :P But I do have an E30 that I wanted to keep as stock as possible, and it has a late M42 motor already (Out of a 95 318ti). It had been sitting for the past 6 or so years, but I will want to get it back on the road in the next couple of years. I was wondering if you guys tested the functionality on an E30 chassis, I am seriously interested in getting one of these kits, looking through the site the price is pretty low (which is awesome), but there are a bunch of missing pieces? (Theres a hose kit and some other stuff thats separate? And does the supercharger come with it? Injectors? Variable Pressure regulator?) I'm looking for a modest power increase, maybe having the E30 with around 200HP from a stock motor would be awesome, with mostly stock hardware - I'll want to do up the brakes, LSD and other stuff at the same time.

Side note; hi again everyone

We actually have the M45 Eaton Supercharger running on a M42B18 and it easily sees 10 - 12 PSI. 200HP would be a walk in the park for the V4 MOAB SC14 Kit (50% Larger than the M45) as well as the WMD V456 using the M45 and M62 Superchargers.

Now, what we supply is the complete bolt on hardware, you have to source your own supercharger (M45 or M62). The Superchargers we do stock are the SC14, AMR500 and such.

You can add your own intercooler kit and extra silicone hoses. You would want larger injectors, a rising rate (not variable) fuel pressure regulator is not needed if you can do a proper tune, you could use a wideband afr o2 sensor. With the M62 and SC14 you could push the little M42 up to the power levels of an S50B30 engine. But it all depends on the tune itself. The 318Ti and E30 are both solid chassis, they can hold power a lot better than the usual E36 and E46.

I suggest getting in touch with a tuner such as Kassel Performance in Pennsylvania. They are our official tuners from this year on wards.

Grab the SC14 Kit for the M42, its in stock and its the largest one ever built for these engines. You can get a good load of boost and its a very simple setup. The new generation of M45 and M62 kits are at least 6 months away.

How much boost psi could you run on an m42 without having to add low compression pistons, and how much power do you think this would add.

I would not exceed 8-10PSI on a M44 and 10 - 12PSI max on a M42. This is really pushing it and with a VERY good tune. Go with Kassel Performance in Pennsylvania for the tune.

Even our M45 Kit (WMD upcoming) will push you 10PSI. So you must use a boost controller.

So i just bought one of these kits and i have a few questions. The DASC kit uses a rrfpr to combat running lean at the top end but this kit doesnt include one. Which one should i buy? Also does anything need to be changed to the pcv system?

You should get a proper tune, a RRFPR is not a proper tune, get larger injectors, find a tuner who can tune your ECU (OBD I or OBD II).

Dont take it the wrong way, but I think with your PCV System question, you dont have enough knowledge to go by on setting this up. Ofcourse things need to be changed in the PCV System, else you will damage the motor, its simple, instead of ventilating the crank case, you would be putting boost in it. Just contact Hyde Motor Works directly via email for technical questions if you bought it from them.

@MisterM52... I am new to this forum, I have a very early and rare UK e36 318is factory M-sport, its a 1992 M42. I've owned it for 18 years, it has a few upgrades such as a custom manifold back exhaust with cat delete, a RamAir cold feed induction kit, unlocked and live mapped superchip, e46 330i front brake conversion with e46 328i rears, lowered on 60mm springs with sports shocks etc...I've always had the intention of doing a supercharger conversion. Its been off the road for 12 years , still runs and I'm planning to restore it properly and have it back on the road this year, whilst I'm at it, I'd like to do the conversion I always intended for it, back then it was the DASC conversion I was looking at. I'm after some help/advice/guidance on what to do/how to go about it and where to look for what I need. You and this forum appear to be the best place I can be to source what I need for the parts and expertise I need. I hope to hear back with some guidance 🤞🏼

Thumbs up

@UK318IS.

Welcome to the forum. That sounds like a good car, I would say since you had it for so long and likely have taken good care, but why is it off the road?

Overall, I would say you would be fine going with a intercooled kit. I don't know of any other kit in the market offering that apart from what we have going on.

Here is a recent build in South Africa that is being finished pictures attached below.

Meanwhile, we are also having a sale on the 6 cylinder kits.
