Default EWS question.

I have a 1995 ti, and i've found a 1994 donor 325i. am i gonna hit any snags with EWS, and so on, if i proceed?

Are you swapping the harness also? if not you will need a readout of the 95 ecu and take the EWS key code and transfer it to the 1994 ecu otherwise the car won't start. There is another way of doing it but it requires cutting a wire

Your best bet is to do a OBD2 to OBD1 harness conversion

95 is OBD1, and might have had EWS1 which you can trick (search Bimmerforums) or NO EWS!

Look to see if your Ign. Lock cylinder has an antenna ring around it, if it does then you have EWS and can use a EWS delete mod. or you can bypass the EWS module under the dash. Ive even done this on an E46 with EWS2 just to be able to move it around.

yeah, i've got the halo on my ti. if i have the entire parts car will there be an issue? i'm most likely grabbing a 1994 325i sedan today. front end damage, but driveable.
