I have a 95 318ti with 5 speed and just bought a rear ended 95' 325i vert that's automatic but still runs. Yes, you can use the 5speed in your ti with the M50 motor. WIth that being said "i can use the 318ti 5 speed transmission on the 325i motor" Will the 318 pressure plate and clutch and flywheel work or will i need the 325 stuff? Plenty of people run the same transmission. I think you need to be concerned about the diff though. __________________ ...steven

You can use all the 318ti pieces and bolt the motor directly to the trans...
I chose to upgrade the clutch and flywheel, but you don't need to..
