Thanks. __________________ Raymond | | | 08-25-2009, 10:24 PM | #6 | Junior Member Join Date: Aug 2009 Location: Canada Posts: 3 | Confusing Hi ya I'm new here. I just got my "1995" 318ti this week. And right away I ran into a few problems. Car built in Sept/1995 The car is badged 1.8L Here's the problem. It' takes an oil filter from a 1996 model. Brought home the 95' and it didn't fit. But when I changed the belts, 1996 was too big but the 1995 belts fit. I don't know which part to order for which year now. Anyone else run into this problem? Thanks | | | 08-26-2009, 01:50 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | later M42 (95) engines came with the M44 (96-99) oil filter housing, other than that, parts for a 95 should fit | | | 08-26-2009, 11:57 AM | #8 | Junior Member Join Date: Aug 2009 Location: Canada Posts: 3 | Thanks TiFreak, that cleared a lot of things up for me. So you're saying everything under the hood is m42, only the oil housing is m44. | | | 08-27-2009, 02:03 AM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | exactly | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
