Get the tranny out of an Auto M3? or Maybe a bigger sedan.

Just thinking...

Are you referring to just drivetrain mods? Unfortunately, there's not a lot you can do. I have the same limitation with my car.

Otherwise, you can swap out the exhaust, upgrade your suspension, add some new aerodynamics, or modify other aesthetics on your car (e.g. stereo, seats, lights, etc.). Just depends on what you want to do.

If your talking about the actual transmission, you can get the Dinan transmission chip.

My favorite auto transmission mod is to get rid of the thing entirely.

I don't think the Dinan chip will work on a Supercharged car. The chip is deseigned specifically for a n/a engine.

I don't think it would really make a difference with the DASC. Since you are not modifying the engine ECU all the transmission chip will do is change the shift points.

You could put on some UUC transmission mounts and the tran. mount enforcer... My 328 has really old transmission mounts so I just ordered some of them today. Going to put the red racing ones on my Ti, and the black ones with the enforcer on my 328.

My car is Dinan programed how can I know if the chip is alredy instaled?
With a scanner or can I actually see it without disassembling half the car.

You'd have to crack open the DME to know for sure. The ECU chip will have a Dinan tag on it, if its indeed from them.

Unless they put a Dinan sticker on the outside of the DME. I don't know for sure.

The DME can be removed and opened in less than 30 minutes.

Check with DustenT. I seem to remember that he swapped his auto tranny to a manual, and he's DASC'd too.
