I don't feel like parting it out anymore nor do I even have time. I still have most of the black sport interior, black carpet, Stainless brake lines, BMW 328 front brake upgrade with Crossed drilled Zimmerman rotors, Bilstein shocks/struts, H&R springs, DASC, UUC short shifter, Eibach anti-sway bars, perfect M42 engine (wasn't damaged in the wreck), 5 spd tranny, all the windows are still in it with no cracks whatsoever (don't even think there are rock chips) and some more. I would like to get rid of it for $3000 picked up. I know that it is totaled but all of the parts are worth it, plus the motor is in great condition still too. Considering that you would spend at least $3000 on a new DASC, I think this is a pretty good deal. It's hellrot red if anyone wanted to know. Like I said, It would be a great car to pull parts off of. I need it out of my garage. Let me know if anyone is interested. I live in the Houston, Texas area. It probably would still run strong if all the electrics and fluids were attached and full. $3000 is a steal for just the all the aftermarket parts. but even more, I'm throwing in the engine, tranny, all the glass with regulators and a bunch of other stuff. | | | 12-24-2006, 01:39 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2005 Location: Houston, Tx Posts: 159 | DO NOT ASK ME TO PART THIS OUT UNLESS I SAY I AM PARTING IT OUT | | | 12-24-2006, 05:26 AM | #5 | Member Join Date: Dec 2005 Location: Washington DC, Pittsburgh PA Posts: 81 | Thanks for the pics. Although Christmas bills are hitting most of us, I'm afraid that there may be some addtl apprehension to purchase this once top-notch TI (looked sweet) due to the impact area. There may be some concern about damage internally to the DASC or engine (although unlikely since it appears the impact did not exceed the standard crumple zone designed by our friends at BMW engineering). The only other concern might be the force of the impact overall breaking loose an internal component. But I'm by far no expert in this area. | | | 01-04-2007, 07:48 PM | #10 | Member Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: Broomfield, CO Posts: 46 | What would it take to put this DASC on a 1998 ti? | | | 01-07-2007, 10:06 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2005 Location: Houston, Tx Posts: 159 | Quote: Originally Posted by atlanta318ti Hope everyone walked away safely. Strangely enough, the radiator isn't even really bent. I still have it. My K&N air filter was crushed like a coke can but the DASC itself does not seem to be damged at all. | | | 01-07-2007, 10:07 PM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2005 Location: Houston, Tx Posts: 159 | Quote: Originally Posted by chrissummit What would it take to put this DASC on a 1998 ti? | Just the labor to my knowledge. Call DA just to make sure. Everything that was on the car as far as the DASC is still on or in the car. | | | 01-07-2007, 10:21 PM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2005 Location: Houston, Tx Posts: 159 | additional note.... Just found out that my parents are going to be getting divorced. Therefore, I need this thing out of my garage because I don't know where I am going to be living. Keep in mind that the car isn't currently drivable. But it does roll, steer, and brake great. | | | 01-08-2007, 05:21 AM | #14 | Member Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: vienna,va Posts: 65 | if u decide to pull off the DASC from ur motor or sell me the motor with the DASC then i have $1500 in hand for u. get back to me | | | 01-09-2007, 03:06 AM | #15 | Junior Member Join Date: Jan 2007 Posts: 1 | please check your pm's, I am in wichita ks and am interested in the whole car.
