Do these need painting?

One of my mirriors is getting rust on the mirror surface. Instead of paying $65.00 to replace that part, I was considering these mirrors.

Judging from the surface, do they look like they would look decent if I just mounted them unpainted? I don't want to go through the extra hassle of getting them painted.
The two pics almost seem like a different surface. Either way, I would prefer not painting them.

The price is only $200.00 shipped from Germany. These are power and heated.

I'd say paint them cause of the color of your car.

unless your car is black I would paint them to match. Though a lot of cars have flat black mirrors on them.

i agree about the painting. the flat black mirrors would make the car look like a 2 fast kid owned it and didn't have the money to get them painted, but put them on any way.

To make life easier, I would love to pickup an M-tech front and rear bumper, new side mirrors, and maybe a spoiler all at once. Then I get them all painted together, at one lump price.

I remember replacing my left mirror on my Scirocco after a firetruck tore it off. The replacement was all black, and my right one was painted white on the front. I ended up painting the white one black, since the black one was a newer design and couldn't be painted.

All I remember was whatever he charged me irritated me.

some cars do lend themselves to black mirrors, i just don't think our bimmers do. i personally would like to leave the painted section of mine painted, but do the plastic ring around the mirror itself in chrome... but that's just me.

roadrash, i think it's the the facial expression you've got going on... it looks like either you're thinking really hard or got one that won't come out...
