So now i'm here for good. So i have had 2 Ti's R.I.P. blacky now have a Red 96' i know its not a sport but its not a base model either so not sure where it fits in at. Current mods are 4.10 or 4.11 LSD been so long since bought and installed and so many other projects cant remember for sure. H&R springs and Billi sport shocks and struts and a M front cover not color matched it was bought because lost the old one on the road and no way I could reuse it. I do have a M50 NV and another trans that is supposed to have 5 gear overdrive to swap in but its slow going. | | | 04-13-2012, 04:47 PM | #2 | Member Join Date: Mar 2012 Location: iowa Posts: 90 | I have nothing against rodents, good eating if you ask me, welcome back!! As for getting the swap done, if I were closer I'd lend a hand but I'm not so all I can offer is moral suppost. I'll look forward to hearing updates. | | | 04-13-2012, 04:57 PM | #3 | Member Join Date: Mar 2012 Location: Chandler, Okla Posts: 52 | Thanks moral support is good and can help me focus haha .Ya its more of a money issue anyways lol but next month my income will be a little better and my dad will be taking care of the car and money while im gone so I hope to have it good to go in a few months. I think he is more excited to get this together than i am haha | | | 04-13-2012, 05:11 PM | #4 | Member Join Date: Mar 2012 Location: iowa Posts: 90 | Well the good thing about a ti is that as well as being fun to drive they are good cheap affordable transportation. As for your Dad is he excited about getting the car together or getting the space the car is parked in back? lol. I had a 1966 mustang after highschool try growing roots in my old mans garage, he was really excited to see that car drive out of his garage even if it took, oh, ten years. | | | 04-13-2012, 06:57 PM | #5 | Member Join Date: Mar 2012 Location: Chandler, Okla Posts: 52 | No he wants to drive it lol its in my blood i guess to be a car nut. ya its cheap but being replaced as DD finally which was part of the reason for slow progress. After some love to new DD ill just focus on building the TI right and going thru everything. Oh ya for got to mention in mods got M3 brakes again not installed but have them and see if i can make rear brakes work also before i put the fronts on. | | | 04-14-2012, 06:00 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: SW Florida Posts: 4,275 | ah, lets see this swap get underway! i wish i had another 100,000 miles on my car...it'd be easier to convince the wife lady to buy the S52 i have my eye on. lol glad you came back to the Org!
