Its just we are a bunch of enthusiasts who prefer real mods that actually do something or look good on our BMW's. Ultimately, its your car and you do as you please. But remember, you get what you pay for. __________________ | | | 09-04-2011, 02:54 AM | #6 | Junior Member Join Date: Aug 2011 Location: New Mexico Posts: 20 | Yeah that's true, I mean the only reason why I got the headlights is so it looks like a new car. I mean I'm just an 18 year old, and you guys probably know that you wanted to impress people with your cars when younger. I kept my original headlights for when I get older so I can put them back on because I really would hate to change anything else. Just thought they would look cool you know? | | | 09-04-2011, 04:44 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: PA Posts: 1,906 | Quote: Originally Posted by hawaiiancowboy Yeah that's true, I mean the only reason why I got the headlights is so it looks like a new car. Just thought they would look cool you know? | Fixed Its good that you keep the original parts. If you ever sell the car, the buyer may want them. Until then, enjoy your car and make her a pantie dropper __________________ | | | 09-07-2011, 02:28 AM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2009 Location: MD/PA/DC Posts: 1,629 | Quote: Originally Posted by hawaiiancowboy Yeah that's true, I mean the only reason why I got the headlights is so it looks like a new car. Gotta clean the calipers up really nice to make it stay on. When I replace the parts on my cars I always put some paint on too keep 'em from rusting and looking like poo. I just do a satin/flat black engine enamel though. Nice and understated. __________________ No more ti. You want to dress up the calipers, paint them. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org Last edited by 1996 328ti; 09-04-2011 at 09:00 PM. Covering painting (With the wrong paint) insulates the caliper. The red coating brembo uses is a semi ceramic that conducts heat well. Dave | Soooooo if someone wanted to paint their brake calipers what is the best type or pant to use? Something like high heat engine paint? Or is there caliper paint at like advanced auto? __________________ ***Derek*** ^^Lola^^ Pioneer radio/ Pioneer 6-Disk CD Changer/ JBL 601.1 Grand Touring Amplifier/ Bilstein Sport shocks/ Bilstein e36sedan springs/ Green LED Courtesy Lights Accident Counter: 3... | | | 09-07-2011, 01:39 AM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | Quote: Originally Posted by rochey6957 Soooooo if someone wanted to paint their brake calipers what is the best type or pant to use?
