Looks like it works well! __________________ 1/1997 M44 ti M-Sport Schwartz II | | | 04-25-2008, 11:02 PM | #17 | Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: Mesa, AZ Posts: 38 | Yeah.. I know.. .. I think the guy that sold us the car took them off to sell them.. in no time I should have them though.. .. plus a Cold Air Intake.. __________________ *CrYsTaL* I L.O.V.E. my Bimmer!!! | | | 04-25-2008, 11:16 PM | #18 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Florida Posts: 2,525 | I posted a similar product when somebody did a review of the bavauto lens cleaning kit. The bavauto kit is just rubbing compound and will destroy the top UV layer of your plastic headlight covers... Depending on what is in this product, it should be safer to use than any rubbing compound sanding method... Ask me how my headlights looked after 6 months of sitting in the sun after using the bavauto kit. Not good... | | | 04-25-2008, 11:21 PM | #19 | Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: Mesa, AZ Posts: 38 | I wouldn't doubt if this FW1 stuff is exactly the same as the Prexus & Honda Cleaner you mention... Hey it worked for me.. and I thought my lights had no more hope.. My car use to have this swirl look to the paint.. like small thin circular scratches.. I think that's why everytime I took it to the car wash they told me I needed to wax it.. and now those marks are gone.. even the black scuff marks at the bottom of my driver side I made with my shoes (ji..ji my bad).. came off __________________ *CrYsTaL* I L.O.V.E. my Bimmer!!! | | | 04-25-2008, 11:27 PM | #20 | Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: Mesa, AZ Posts: 38 | You just gave me an idea.. I always park in reverse at work..but I go all the back on the carport so the sun won't hit my headlights.. so now I won't go so far back so the sun can hit them and I'll see if this product "really" works... I live in AZ.. so I'll defitnately get A LOT of sun on them.. What you paid for your Kit at BavAuto, is what we paid for 2 cans. My father-in-law used it on his entire Corvette and I already used it on my Bimmer.. and I think we have enough left to do my husband's F-150.. which is really really dirty cause it's his work truck.. I'll take before and after pics.. I'm sure they'll be good ones.. __________________ *CrYsTaL* I L.O.V.E. my Bimmer!!! | | | 04-26-2008, 12:03 AM | #21 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | nice! you should snap some interior pictures too! __________________ -Josh Sold-1995 318ti, Club Sport, Hellrot Sold-1996 318ti, Active Model, Boston Green Current- 1995 318ti, sport model, schwartz | | | 04-29-2008, 03:34 PM | #22 | Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: Mesa, AZ Posts: 38 | Good Morning.. ... Sorry I wasn't able to reply back guys... very busy weekend.. anyway.. I checked that FW1 can and it DOESN'T have the ingredients section. In the front it does say that it has Carnuba Wash.. but it doesn't state all the ingredients.. :/ __________________ *CrYsTaL* I L.O.V.E. my Bimmer!!! | | | 04-29-2008, 04:00 PM | #23 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | weird thanks anyways! __________________ -Josh Sold-1995 318ti, Club Sport, Hellrot Sold-1996 318ti, Active Model, Boston Green Current- 1995 318ti, sport model, schwartz | | | 04-29-2008, 07:48 PM | #24 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: state college, pa Posts: 3,431 | Email them for an MSDS. __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | 04-29-2008, 08:21 PM | #25 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2007 Location: 909-281 Posts: 233 | Get some Glass head light they look better and will never turn yellow __________________ SOLD so sad..... | | | 04-29-2008, 09:22 PM | #26 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2007 Location: OKC, Oklahoma Posts: 387 | I actually had some of that that some kid sold to my mom in a gas station i dont think i ever used them! | | | 05-10-2008, 11:32 PM | #27 | Member Join Date: May 2008 Location: Spruce Creek, PA Posts: 56 | I just bought a 98ti after reading this site for info... but I'm terribly impatient and have to wonder if anyone knows where I could buy some of this FW1 junk or am I going to have to order it online? I actually thought the haze was from dust on the inside of the lense, but figured I'd check here first before I started tearing stuff apart. Now I'm glad I did check. Ain't she pretty? This is my problem correct? Have you used it on the wheels by chance? Mine seem to accumulate brake dust like mad and I'd like to have an easier time keeping mine clean. | | | 05-11-2008, 12:14 AM | #28 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Minneapolis Posts: 1,587 | I'm sure a real plastic polish will work better. I use 3M Plastic Polish on my headlights and it works very well. | | | 05-11-2008, 01:53 AM | #29 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2005 Location: Portland Oregon Posts: 1,363 | | | | 05-11-2008, 02:21 AM | #30 | Member Join Date: May 2008 Location: Spruce Creek, PA Posts: 56 | Quote: Originally Posted by CirrusSR22 I'm sure a real plastic polish will work better. Thanks for the suggestion. | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
