What is the difference exactly? Seams seem to be in similar spots and everything. | | | 11-29-2006, 11:20 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: 43609 Posts: 3,425 | The sport seats (and interior) come with leather/cloth. The sport seats compared to the active/base seats have more adjustments that you make to fit you better and more comfortably. I would prefer the sport seats because of this feature and the fact that youre less likely to slide in your seat when turning hard. __________________ 1995 Hellrot Clubsport 318ti -Gone 1996 Schwartz II Sport 357ti - 5.7L V8 LS1/6 1997 Moregrun Metallic 318ti - Gone 1998 Schwartz II sport 318ti - M50TUB25/5 | | | 11-29-2006, 11:23 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: Regensburg, Germany Posts: 584 | Yeah, but that Bobby Thrash dude sucks! He, unfortunately, has a lot of stuff that I need, and I have emailed him about 15 times and have never gotten a response back. He just seems unwilling to help, and often misrepresents the things that he sells. And I dont want to buy something and end up getting something different and not being able to communicate with him. | | | 11-30-2006, 01:05 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: Manassas, VA Posts: 4,129 | Your seats are the same as what my car originally had. There is a huge difference. The sport seats are leather and cloth, but the controls are the same as my Vaders, and that makes all the difference. I bought a differential from him, and haven't heard a thing in weeks. I think I'm going to report the fraud to my credit card. __________________ SOLD!!! 1999 332ti //M Sport Titanium Silver M3 S52 3.2 I-6 Engine, M3 Clutch w/ ti Getrag Trans, Z3 3.15 LSD medium case diff and half shafts, OEM Hatch Spoiler, Eurosport HP Underdrive Pulleys, FDM, 17" DS1 rims, M3 Front Struts & Springs, M3 Instrument Cluster, 3-spoke //M steering wheel with tri-color stitching, SSK, CCFL Angels in Depo projectors with 5k HIDs | | | 11-30-2006, 07:53 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: Regensburg, Germany Posts: 584 | Quote: Originally Posted by campaiar Digitial, have you heard anything from Bobby Thrash? Have you tried calling his cell/company phone # listed on the auction? Btw, what diff are you switch to with the M50? | | | 11-30-2006, 08:37 PM | #9 | That's not Millpoint Blue Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: BNA Posts: 3,161 | Quote: Originally Posted by pnosker What is the difference exactly? | I've only seen Sport seats and not the other versions, but as I understand it, the Sport seats provide more adjustments. Look at this pic (the 3rd one on the auction page). Note that there are 4 adjustment levers. I think the other versions of the seats only provide 3 adjustments. Sport seats provide these adjustments: - fore / aft
- up / down
- seat back tilt fore / aft
- seat bottom tilt up / down
There's also the thigh support extension, but I'm not sure if the other seats also do that or not. JMJ __________________ Real men know how to SEARCH! We try our best to cover all of the questions in our listings to keep questions down to a minimum due to the high volume of emails we get a day (a little over 200 emails a day). 8. My direct cell phone number is 678 201 9320, usually it will not pick up inside the shop building due to metal roofing, etc, If you have eBay questions I am better reached at 706 654 9156, or on aim at terrys95m3. | | | 12-05-2006, 07:32 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: Cincinnati Posts: 890 | I've been calling those numbers all week. I talked to Bobby once and he said he'd look into it. Haven't got him on the phone since. I'm staying with the stock diff for now. Just want to change to a higher gear for highway driving. __________________ SOLD!!! 1999 332ti //M Sport Titanium Silver M3 S52 3.2 I-6 Engine, M3 Clutch w/ ti Getrag Trans, Z3 3.15 LSD medium case diff and half shafts, OEM Hatch Spoiler, Eurosport HP Underdrive Pulleys, FDM, 17" DS1 rims, M3 Front Struts & Springs, M3 Instrument Cluster, 3-spoke //M steering wheel with tri-color stitching, SSK, CCFL Angels in Depo projectors with 5k HIDs | | | 12-15-2006, 05:23 AM | #12 | Junior Member Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: Mcdonough Posts: 21 | Quote: Originally Posted by BobbyDigital Yeah, but that Bobby Thrash dude sucks! And I dont want to buy something and end up getting something different and not being able to communicate with him. | Actually I work for Bobby Thrash and help with the eBay listings, the reason we have not responded to emails is because our website www.strictly-german.com and our email that is provided through the website is down, the guy who made it and set it up before I started to work there has not returned the voice mails we left him he knows all of the passwords etc, Bobby the owner of our shop is computer illiterate and knows nothing about his website or eBay, I spoke to Mr Anthony Campailla on the phone, and give him a better diff then he purchased for the delay, also the sport seat that is for auction is from my personal car, I just upgraded to the red two tone interior. I do have a temporary personal email address that I just added to eBay which is terrys318ti@windstream.net if anyone has any questions. | | | 12-15-2006, 02:58 PM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: Cincinnati Posts: 890 | I was sent a 2.93 LSD large case diff instead of the 3.15 open small case diff I purchased off ebay. Good thing I had a set of E30 half shafts lying around. Thanks Terry. __________________ SOLD!!! 1999 332ti //M Sport Titanium Silver M3 S52 3.2 I-6 Engine, M3 Clutch w/ ti Getrag Trans, Z3 3.15 LSD medium case diff and half shafts, OEM Hatch Spoiler, Eurosport HP Underdrive Pulleys, FDM, 17" DS1 rims, M3 Front Struts & Springs, M3 Instrument Cluster, 3-spoke //M steering wheel with tri-color stitching, SSK, CCFL Angels in Depo projectors with 5k HIDs | | | 12-26-2006, 10:03 PM | #14 | Junior Member Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: Mcdonough Posts: 21 | Quote: Originally Posted by campaiar I was sent a 2.93 LSD large case diff instead of the 3.15 open small case diff I purchased off ebay.
