What's the reason for that if you don't mind me asking. __________________ 92 Nissan Stanza - Backseat Shenanigans and Tom Foolery - sold and would pickup another 94 Del Solo SI - The Go Get Her - sold 94 auto Prelude "S" for slowww - Daily schmaily - sold 91 MX-5 Miataz - Silversurfer - Weekend Bandicoot 96 5-speed 2dr RAV - Purple baby monster - New Daily | | | 04-12-2015, 04:10 AM | #287 | Member Join Date: Jan 2015 Location: Maine Posts: 55 | The first one was a e34 540i/6 and I stupidly sold it. The next one was a 1995 e36 that I bought without doing a full check and 1k miles later the engine blew and at this point I was only 20 and didn't have the mechanical confidence or skills I have now. So I ate that and learned from it. Now I've got a 1999 black on black m3 convertible 5 speed a 1998 avus blue 318ti manual and a 2005 e46 325xi manual black on black. I'm probably getting an x5 manual soon or buying my cousins 2000 740il and doing the m5 6 speed swap as I've got both of those sitting around that I picked up. I'm a BMW fanatic what can I say and have nothing to better to do with my time and money but dedicate to this addicting hobby . Everytime I see a unique example with the rondial I want it but realize I shouldn't . Some poor girl someday is going to love my garage. It all started with my grandfather who owned an original to him e30 m3 and was a gear head / BMW fanatic. Edit: apologies the 6 includes the ones I currently own and the one or other I might pick up. Sorry for the confusion. I also have a 99 M Roadster. Just sold a 1993 e30 325iC that took me 8 years to make almost perfect, because I found the M Technic cabrio. I think I'd like to make a 318ti my dd now. | | | 05-22-2015, 08:17 PM | #290 | Member Join Date: Jan 2015 Location: Maine Posts: 55 | Well guys I may have gone off the deep end a little. My uncle has been the proud owner of an original to him black exterior z4m coupe. He's possibly looking to sell it although not exactly sure yet. Guess who he asked first? It's quite possible I might have it by the end of the summer....my bank account hates me right now . I already sold my 1999 black on black e36 m3 convertible locally to thin out the herd. It's not quite the m coupe or clown shoe but it's another on my list of one's I've drooled over. Joined community because my son and friends purchased a 1995 Bmw 318 ti (salvaged) but looks to be restorable. Looks to be a great project car and great way for new blood to learn about cars. Hoping to have great support as I am not familiar with the BMW family. Don't know if my son and his friends are going to make a car club or be a part of a BMW community, but it brings back nostalgic memories of my friends and I way back when I first started High School, Lol! Hoping this will be a great father/son experience! Any help and advice will be appreciated. As with all cars, different makes and models, I hope to install the respect that each vehicle demands from its enthusiasts!!! That is what I also hope to carry over to my son and the next generation of drivers. Decided to join to help keep this alive for all the ti owners. I have a 1998 Alpine white Cali, M-sport, 5 speed ti with 133K miles, excellent condition, all original. Purchased in June 2004. It's my summer & DS car. It'll be a Ofest again this year too. Decided I should post as I have seen 3 ti's in the last week. I'm in Denver and can't recall seeing 3 ti's in the past year so this was a sign. Hope to figure this forum thing out - I've noticed it can be a rabbit hole of time. | | | 08-27-2015, 05:43 PM | #294 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Fl Posts: 1,353 | Quote: Originally Posted by artwerkes New supporter of the site but a periodic visitor over the years. I'm 30, and have owned 4 older model project BMWs, and one daily driver. Tried to start an E36 engine swap project a while back and ended up selling it incomplete. Now I have a very well kept ti and wrecked M3 for a donor. I plan on hanging on to this one. I will start a build thread soon. | | | 04-22-2016, 07:40 PM | #297 | Junior Member Join Date: Apr 2016 Location: Houston, TX Posts: 13 | hate to say it, but i'm 40.......... i'm in a suburb of Houston, TX | | | 04-22-2016, 11:51 PM | #298 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2012 Location: Sacramento, CA Posts: 2,451 | I'd love to say I'm forty again. I'm in that last demographic group, too. Holler, bmwjen, if you need anything. I'm in Houston area quite a bit. Have two daughters there. I got a ti back on the road last summer after the PO hadn't registered it in five years. So there aren't many places I haven't touched on a ti. __________________ 1992 325iC M Technic appearance Diamantschwarz 5 spd. heated seats 1993 325iC Schwarz II 5 spd.
