Default headlight clearing?

I've checked the forum and can't seem to find anyone who's tried clearing their turn signals or sidemarkers by a process known as "baking". I don't know much about it yet, i'm still researching it, but a lot of people with hondas/acuras tend to be doing it, ie, ricers. Albeit, a cheap way to modify your car, it doesn't look bad at all from the pictures i've seen.

I'm guessing that they are able to do this just because the lights have an orange film, rather than the whole lens being that color. Is that the same with our lights? Or are our lights an amber lens, therefore, cannot be "baked" or "cleared". I wasn't sure, so just thought i'd throw it out there, since it'd be cheaper than dropping 60 bucks for clear corners and such.
